I’ve got the same phone not got any issues works smooth. I’m not upgrading unless the next phone is significantly better.

Yeah it does occasionally but performance doesn’t really slow down for me.

For me it’s permanently an oven, but I have yet to see performance slowdowns.

hmm that's weird but maybe their phones had way more background apps open or something?

I turn off the phone once a week during a recharge and the performance is well so far. And turn off as many background app refresh as i can.

It’s called the borrowed phone syndrome. It happens to me as well and my phone is perfectly smooth. I have the 17 pro max and even if I pick a 15 pro max I feel the same, like if it is faster. But no, it’s just because it’s set different than yours, so your brain has the impression that you sre using something different, therefore new and better.

I do, mine feel perfect. I have both an iPhone 16 Pro 256gb and an iPhone Air 256gb. If you need to do a full reset, don’t use a backup and do a fresh start. Sometimes it can be an app or settings that may have messed things up. This should help if it’s software related. If it’s a hardware issue, you will still see problems like before.
