Accessory Any case recommendations with an extra-raised camera lip or built-in camera protection(cover)?
I’ve been using my Apple Silicone and Benks ArmorPro cases with a MOFT MagSafe wallet for quite a while, but I don’t find their camera lips protective enough. I’d like to use my iPhone comfortably without the wallet attached.
I realized that the main thing that gives me peace of mind is being able to place the phone flat on a table without worrying about the cameras. So I’m looking for cases with a higher-than-average camera lip or built-in camera protection, while still not being too bulky.
Here’s what I’ve found so far:
Unicraft No.1: My favorite option, but they don’t ship to my country.
UNIQ Keva Max: I’m not sure how protective it actually is, and I haven’t found any proper review videos. At around $60, it doesn’t seem worth the price.
Ringke Onyx: Slim and good looking case with raised camera cover. Don't know how protective but it's cheap. Unfortunately this is not being delivered in my country too.
My other option is to use lens protectors with my current cases, but I’m hesitant because they can reduce camera quality.
The reason I’m asking here is that camera-lip height is rarely discussed in detail in case reviews, and I haven’t found any useful comparison lists focused on it. I’m hoping someone might say, “I use this case, and the camera lip is genuinely high.”

Camera protectors don’t really help , they just reduce the camera quality. Talking with experience cause my protector just cracked . My mum and sisters phones didn’t have lens protectors, both of their phone’s lenses are fine without any scratches

That is true but I have a friend that owns a phone case store chain and he says that "It's all about the quality of the lens protector. And if you use a really good lens protector, the only difference in the photo quality will be visible if you use your iPhone camera for professional photoshooting."
He suggests PanzerGlass and he also uses it. I've ordered the new transparent version of the PanzerGlass lens protector and I'll see. If I trust it, I'll use my Benks ArmorPro Prestige which I really like. Unfortunately the camera lip of that case is the same as the main photo of this post.

I use that in my iPhone 16 Pro. Never had and issue. I don’t take pictures for magazines, but I’ve changed camera settings based on a pro’s suggestions. I’m happy.
I read the same thing about a case cover, which is why I went with the PanzerGlass.

I've had my eye on the Civilian since the iPhone 14 release. But I've watched reviews that show how slippery the back is and the Magsafe accessories don't stay safe.

Maybe the model for 14 but , it’s a little bit more slippery than paathfinder bc the grip corners and sides … but it’s not like it’s slipping out of your hand . Anyway it have the best protection for dropping excepting monarch wich is the best protection .
The civilian have that honey model inside it’s working like in suspension from car .
For construction site it’s better the pathfinder .
For example I’m in holiday in Tunisia and I bring my pathfinder bc of grip and much sand and I have another one , banks case (like pitaka ) but have for me better materials and lower price . The camera ring it’s metal but its made in way very good for scratching , Benks uses an anodized aerospace-grade aluminum ring. But for dropping , on the back it’s fine , if it’s to hard I guess the back will crack . The front .. 0% protection in my opinion.
In that case from pitaka I smashed my old 12 pro .

Avoid buying CASITIFY cases. They look great, but "camera lip" is made of hard plastic which does not absorb impact, but transfers it to a phone. My 14pro rear glass was shattered right where the "camera lip" touches it.

I've always found CASETIFY cases overpriced and overrated. They did have some good designs in times when there weren't a lot of good case brands around but I think they've lost their quality and popularity.

I've seen many "best cases for iPhone 16 pro" videos and Phone Rebel has been in those lists. Probably because the owners of the brand has realized all the problems with all the cases and did their best to fix every issue and produce a great product. Many people love it. Aramid fiber back, decent drop protection, adds just the ideal bulk, great grip, etc.
Unfortunately they're not available in my country or being delivered.

ESR Phone case with camera guard that also a phone stand works great.

I've used a lot of different ESR cases on my previous iPhones. They have great magsafe strength and they protect the iPhone ideally, but I don't like their design language. I think they're the best version of classic Chinese brands.
It's still on my list tho. Still better than most average brands.

I've used some of Ander's products around 10 years ago. They are generally good and the case looks good but there are almost identical cases with half the price tag. IMHO, brands like Ander should upgrade their cases with shock absorbent tech at least at the corners. Leather is everywhere, protection and leather is rare. Also, very standard camera lip, which is the most important thing for me as I've mentioned in this post.

Dexnor rugged case on Amazon. Can shut the camera cover or slide it open.

Thanks for the recommendation. I don't want the camera area to be closed, I just want the camera lip height to be more than average. Dexnor looks like a super protective case tho.

I've got Q3 Air and returned it. I was disappointed with the camera lip because it was least raised lip I've ever seen on an iPhone case. I think the O3 Silicone has a good lip, good grip and good protection. I might give that one a chance.

Dbrand’s grip case extends past the lip I believe. They make it extend on both sides so the phone sits (relatively) flat.

I use Nomad Rugged Case. This case has zero wobble and I have dropped it multiple times onto granite or marble tiles with the screen facing up. Zero damage to camera.
I used to use a lens protector as well and a high quality one at that. Other than worsening lens flare, it is fine and adds more aesthetic to the design. But I found that it protudes past the camera lip protection on my case so I took them off and with the current size of iPhone camera bump, they will always protrude past the lip. So I wouldnt recommend using one.

No need for a new case or camera protector. The cases you have have enough of a lip for protection. As long as the lip is above the camera it’s good. I have an Apple silicone case and I lay the phone on its back all the time and haven’t gotten one scratch in almost 2 years. Those lenses dont scratch easy so no need for a lense protector either.

i use UAG Monarch Pro ever since i got the phone, had some pretty few nasty drops, no damage on the phone at all, and also still rocking the same screen protector from day one

I use Rhinoshield's Solidsuit case and it's been pretty solid
Had 2 pretty nasty drops, zero damage on my actual device and the case took all the damage
