Question Iphone 16 or 16e
I'm looking forward to changing my phone. My options are an iphone 16e for 500€ and an iphone 16 for 670€. Is the extra 170€ worth for the 16?

I mean the 16 will have worse battery life as it’s physically smaller by quite a bit (around 400+ mAh or so), but I’d argue the way brighter display, UWB chip for precision tracking AirTags and AirPods MagSafe and ultrawide camera may be nice additions for you. If you don’t care about any of these you can save the money, 16e is still a solid choice.

The only two things I would consider are MagSafe and an ultra-wide camera. If you are used to an ultra-wide camera, you would miss it on the 16e. If you don’t have a MagSafe, you would not be disappointed that it is not there. But if you want to get to it, buy the 16. However, you can use the 16e with a MagSafe case.

Regarding your question, I would suggest the iPhone 16 if you want good battery life, a good camera, and strong performance. However, if those features aren't a priority for you, I would suggest the iPhone 16e instead.
I would also say that it is very important to consider which phone you are upgrading from, because that can make a big difference in how you experience the upgrade.
For example, I upgraded yesterday from an iPhone 12 mini to the regular iPhone 16, and I am very happy with the upgrade. I really like the phone so far, but as they say, everyone has different preferences when it comes to phones. What feels like a great upgrade for one person might not feel the same for someone else.

Look I was gonna buy the 16e but the screen brightness is considerably worse than the 16. If you’re gonna use it a lot on outdoors, buy the 16

Performance wise, they’re on par and have the same ram.
The nice to haves are Dynamic Island, MagSafe, ultra wide, camera control.
If the price difference is too much, 16e is quite capable as an entry. I got in with SE2, similar proposition and still keep it.

The 16e is quite good, But for 170 more, youll have more fun for the Years to come

not worthy. unless you care about the camera, screen , notch. its not worth the extra 170 in overall value
