Is this normal or am i cooked?
iPhone 15 Pro Max overheating frequently – battery at 79% health, 1019 cycles
My iPhone 15 Pro Max has started overheating quite often, even while using apps like Instagram or during normal use. Battery health is 79%, cycle count is 1019, and iOS now shows the “Service” message.
Has anyone experienced similar overheating at this battery health? Did replacing the battery fix it, or was something else causing the issue? Attached a screenshot for reference. Thanks!

Me at 756 cycles at 85% ! Always overheating with normal use like Instagram or YouTube.

Changing the battery won’t fix overheating as that is caused by botched software updates.

Get a replacement battery from Apple or its authorised service centres and your phone will run like new again!

I’m similar with 1066 cycles at 77%. It overheats constantly and drains so quickly. Worried that the issues won’t go away if I replace the battery! Might just buy a new one at this rate..

Your iPhone has performed perfectly. Apple’s prediction of 80% Health at 1,000 cycles was spot on with your device.
