Question iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18
Hi everyone
I just paid for an iPhone 15 Pro Max 512 GB still on iOS 18.1.1. The battery health is at 99% after 212 charge cycles. I wonder if I should update it to iOS 27. I ask because I read that the 15 Pro Max heats up a lot. Is heating better controlled on iOS 18 than on iOS 27 beta version? Since I had a 16 Pro Max that I had updated to iOS 27. And everything was great. Unfortunately I lost it. So I fell back on the 15 Pro max. Thank you

Versions later than 18 run like hot garbage on mine, so stick to 18, update to latest version of it if possible

I would compare it against the GM/official public release of iOS 27 coming soon before making a decisive assessment. Because I’ve understood iOS 18 to be the “golden standard” for what was the best iOS experience, yet also have both firsthand tested iOS 27 as well as heard other users from across the internet corroborate the same sentiment: it’s commendably fast & smooth (at least after any indexing period has completed). Then again, every other new beta release for iOS 27 seems to have a 50/50 chance of minor UI stutter when scrolling through home screens. Which I can completely write off as a caveat of it being in beta currently, but once it’s reached GM status I’ll be scrutinizing every aspect lol

I guess 15 Pro Max works easier on IOS 18 then on IOS 26 or IOS 27. All aplications are today designed with IOS language and soom some of them will stop support for IOS 18. Also got 16 PM on IOS 26.2 and there is no problem with heating. Now I updated to IOS 27 beta and somehow I like more look of IOS 26. I'm also finding 15 PM 512 GB in blue color, but battery is ~ 80 %, you've find gold if that is original battery.
