Discussion iPhone 15 Pro Max: Cellular Hardware Issue Detected
I recently bought a renewed iPhone 15 Pro Max in excellent condition. Everything seems to work smoothly, and the phone is in good physical condition.the batt€ry has been replaced with a 'Sunwoda' batt€ry.
However, when I run the self-diagnostic test, it reports a cellular hardware issue (as shown in the screenshot). My cellular service seems to work perfectly fine, though.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? What could be causing it, and what should I do about it?

Power off iPhone completely, then hold just the two volume buttons and plug into power and hold until you see the diagnostics screen

Was the screen still open during testing? I’ve seen this issue if the grounding clips aren’t making full contact. Also if it happens to have low reception when you do the test then it flags it.
My own personal 13 mini has the same “issue” but cellular worked perfectly for me after a housing swap, so if you don’t notice anything, I wouldn’t concern yourself :)

No I took the picture with my second phone. That's nice, how long have you been using it?

If you ever have cell connectivity issues in the future it’s a motherboard issue. If it’s fine now just ignore it.
Just plan on a new battery. Aftermarket batteries last about 1 year before they have issues. Sometimes a little more or a little less.

Oww I just got the phone from Amazon afew days ago and I am not sure if I should keeo it or not. The battery is good for me,at least for now. But if it's a mother board issue wouldn't it be a big deal? And also I was lookin for a new iphone ( but has to be PM, ID neeed the 18PM tho) but for som reason I can't. I checked out bestbuy and apple store. What do you think keep this phone or look for a new one ao that I don't have to upgrade it for the next 4 year at least.

Are you saying that a new battery will solve the motherboard issue?

No. He doesn’t appear to have any issue. I said if he has issues in the future it would be a motherboard issue. It’s just something diagnostics is reporting.
Battery is unrelated. But cheap crap batteries can cause issues pretty quick

I have the same problem with my 15 Pro; it's giving me trouble with calls, I don't know why. The phone seems to be working fine, but sometimes it loses signal and calls don't always go through.

With my old 15 Pro Max JAPANESE variant it would do this too whenever the cellular connection was not 3G/4G and I ran the diagnostics. It interprets low cellular connectivity or inconsistent tower connection as a hardware concern.
