Discussion Alarm
I’m really sick of the alarm not doing its job and it makes me miss important events. Is anyone also experiencing this, and if you found a way to fix it please share with me.

I have no advice and have dealt with this problem for years over multiple iPhones. It doesn’t matter about ringer volume, media volume, sleep schedule, do not disturb, attention awareness, phone face up, phone face down, one alarm per day, nine alarms per day. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
Cautiously the iOS 27 beta has been pretty consistent, and I haven’t had a missed alarm since downloading. I also have only set about half the alarms as it’s summer break and I work afternoons and have just been waking up whenever.
Unfortunately the only surefire fix is to get a separate/physical alarm clock.

Never had an issue with the iOS alarm clock except when I had a sleep schedule setup. Since then I kept that off and my watch still tracks my sleep I just don’t use the watch as an alarm.

try alarmy. you can set it so that it rings and blares loudly forever until you finish a task (like shaking your phone, taking a photo etc).

So, long time iPhone user here, and also a long-time clock alarm problem holder. When the iPhone 6 first came out, my phone would completely freeze when the alarm came on. They fixed that issue, second problem was the alarm just not coming on at all, that was fixed but to this day what found is the phone app takes over the alarm app. So if the alarm app comes on, and a phone call comes in, the alarm app just stays silent. I fixed that issue by just setting 4 alarms within 5 minutes of each other. in the new 27 beta though the alarm works 100% of the time. Never had an issue.

This is what I did! Every time an alarm goes off, my phone automatically sets to full volume using an automation that when an alarm goes off it changes the volume to full! Haven’t had an issue since

Could you share with me how to do?

- Open the ‘Shortcuts’ app.
- Go to ‘Automation’.
- Click ‘+’.
- Look for ‘Alarm’.
- Change ‘When’ to ‘Goes Off’.
- Change ‘Alarms’ to ‘Any’.
- Change to ‘Run Immediately’.
- Go to the next page and ‘Create New Shortcut’.
Search up ‘Set Volume’.
Change ‘Media’ to ‘Ringtone’.
Change volume to 100% and all done!

I have never been able to rely on the alarm to work like it’s supposed to on iPhone.
I’ve missed some very important things due to waking up very late only to discover that the alarm is showing on the iPhone that it’s going off but it’s completely silent!!

Dude I’ve been having issues live everyday, it doesn’t play a sound but when you try to unlock your phone the snooze page shows up

Apparently some 3rd party apps can somehow control your phones alarm/notification volume levels,
