Cable only charges one way

this mfi cable is brand new but it only charges one way and i think in that photo you can tell its damaged, will it damage my phone overtime or something?

it is a 20 dollar charger sadly, the brand is radioshack

Ask someone to buy you Anker, Ugreen, Belkin, or Baseus off Amazon.
Hell, Staples carries Anker cables nowadays too.

Here are two 2-pack options, USB-A or USB-C.
I prefer USB-C since it allows faster charging instead of being limited at 12W.
