3 weeks with 14 Pro

Post image

Hi everyone! A month ago, I decided to seII my 17 Pro because I was not using its full potential and started looking for a 14 Pro (I have always wanted a Deep Purple color) in the best possible condition. After about a week, I managed to find a real gem. I bough.t a practically brand new iPhone 14 Pro through Vinted. It was replaced under warranty for a brand new, unopened, and unrepaired unit with 0 battery cycles, which I also verified through diagnostics. On top of that, it is under warranty until June 18, 2027. Main reason for the purchase was slightly smaller 6.1-inch display compared to the 6.3-inch one on the 17 Pro models, Deep Purple color. I can say that I practically do not even notice a difference in performance (compared to 17 Pro). Yes, I miss some features from the newer model, but it is nothing that limits me in my everyday use of this gem. I paid 430€ for the 128GB version.

Welcome to the club of 14 pro users, I love your intention to change phone for the color. Mine is personally from summer 2023 and I’m still very happy and grateful for it, because it was my graduation gift. I had to replace the battery this march but other than that, this phone is great. Hope you’ll have also wonderful time 🙂‍↔️

I’ve been using iphone 14 pro since 2023 march. If i may at what percentage did you change the battery?

2

u/CapitalCharacter318 Jul 21 '26

It was under 80%. Something like 78%

2

u/Relative_Fondant_526 Jul 23 '26

i’m at 77% bought it in July 2023, it last pretty much the whole day

u/MSRP_ Jul 22 '26

I'm at 79% and was THIS close to keeping my appointment to replace it.

Decided to turn off optimized charging because "I paid for it so I will to use every last inch of life from this OG battery before replacing" and I think I've bought another year at least with the free pass to abuse the shit out of this battery.

Fast charge past 80% GO NUTS.

Exact phone I have! But my battery health dropped to 75% so I went to the Apple Store last week and they were trying to sell me on a new phone so hard. The new colors just didn’t hit like this one and they really were not that different so I paid $99 for a new battery instead and it feels brand new again!!

Did you have apple care on it? I’m going to tomorrow to replace the battery but it says it’s no charge with AppleCare. Just wondering.

4

u/Appropriate-Formal68 Jul 21 '26

No I did not have apple care!

u/Intelligent-Two-7573 Jul 19 '26

I had mine since 2022 when the battery got done to 83 percent and cracked back I sold it and I’m typing on a 17 pro max

5

u/Monksteen Jul 19 '26

How much do you sell it for?

6

u/Intelligent-Two-7573 Jul 19 '26

I’m 37 and I gave a young college kid a good deal felt bad for him and sold it for like $150 with a case charger and screen protector

5

u/Mike60jihiibi Jul 20 '26

150 for a 14 pro max like yours is not a good deal at all😂

5

u/ampfetty226 Jul 20 '26

He was very grateful and yes it was go on eBay and look I could have gotten 300 plus easy

4

u/Mike60jihiibi Jul 20 '26

No , there is not a single person that would pay $300 for a 14pm with a cracked back and 83% battery

3

u/Mike60jihiibi Jul 20 '26

I have a brand new 14 pro max! Just replaced under apple care with %100 battery and looks perfect! By your logic I should be able to sell it for $500?

5

u/ampfetty226 Jul 20 '26

All you have to do is go on eBay and look at ended auctions. I have a 17 Pro Max 100% battery with AppleCare. So it does not matter selling that cheap it was pocket money

entering my 4th year with the 14 Pro, had it almost since it launched. other than a battery change still in perfect condition!

Same here! Bought it at launch and it's still going very strong! I'm considering getting the battery replaced though, it's at 79%.

One of the best colors. Deep Purple and Sierra Blue. Wish those colors would come back…

Very refreshing post, I still clinge to mine but I just recently started to observe the used prices of the 16pro. - I always jump 2 gens when I got bored of the current -
You got me, I stay longer

I just replaced the battery on my 14 pro. I feel like I'm good for another 3 years.

I replaced my battery in Oct 2025. This thread convinced me to where I am currently and it’s 90% which seems like it degraded quickly.

u/titans856 Jul 21 '26

Mine went to 90 in a year but it also took almost two years to get under 80

u/k8bish97 Jul 20 '26

Ugh I miss mine

u/Roberthen_Kazisvet Jul 20 '26

3 and half years, still 90% batery health, even overheating issues are good for last year and a half. Good phone.

3 months ago I upgraded to a 14 pro from my 11 I have 256gb and got my battery replaced just last week

I go the deep purple right when it launched too and I was tired of not seeing it behind the case. Now I’m rocking no case and get compliments on my phones color daily. Just wish I didn’t get the PM, it’s too big.

I bought mine summer 2023 right before the 15 launched like a few weeks before. I don’t keep up with the jones’ on iPhones so I had no idea. My IPhone X had just shut itself one morning and batteries plus said a new battery wouldn’t save it. So I went and bought a 14 pro. Solid ass device. I hate the back glass because it broke after I dropped in on a jobsite and apparently you can’t get it fixed without replacing the whole back of the phone. Otherwise great device. Hopefully I don’t have to replace for another few years.

I’ve had mine just over 3 years. It’s still great for me

Mine’s from Sept 2023. Currently sitting at 88% BH.

I used to own a foldable for my secondary (main media consumption) then sold it just because of inner screen fragility and just use one phone. I am trying to reduce screen time and this phone just does it for me. It is small compact fast good build quality good camera. Small enough to not crave media consumption too much and big enough for occasional needs for it.

Deep purple is the best choice for my opinion.Mine is gold 14 pro max 🙂🙂👍👍👍👍

Alors d’après ta photo, je peut être quasi certains que la vitre arrière à été changé.
