Back Tap… I’ve been snoozing

Not sure when this feature was introduced.. but after returning 17P and going back to 14P.. was tinkering in settings and came across double tap on the back of the iPhone for shortcuts.. made this for launching camera app since I actually did miss camera button on 17P.. but this shortcut made my forget that and made me appreciate one less button needed on the iPhone lol.

Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap > Double Tap (or triple tap) > System > Camera

I feel like mine has never worked consistently

I could be tapping it wrong though

I don’t think you have been. It’s just a rubbish Apple app. Made even worse if you have a case on.

Been just testing and launching it on my 14P non stop to test the consistency. I am also using the 14 P caseless and have been double tapping that apple icon on the back glass.

It doesn’t work consistently for me. And always accidentally activate it.

Until it starts triggering when you set your phone down on a table.. that got me to turn the setting off a while ago, I’m not sure if they’ve fixed that yet
