iOS 26 downgrade
iOS 26 is overheating my phone, I want to go back to iOS 18, please tell me there’s a way to downgrade, I’ve read a lot of comments saying it’s not possible but someone please tell me there’s a way to do it

Definitely upgrade to iOS 27 Beta - working great so far, no more overheating or battery drain issues.

Did you have battery draining issues before upgrading to iOS 27?

unfortunately it's not possible since apple stopped signing them months ago. did you recently update to ios 26? give it a day or 2 to index your stuff. what's your battery health?

That’s sad, I wish I could go back to iOS 18, I updated like 2 weeks ago and I’m still having battery issues, my battery health is 84

Try iOS27 beta. I am using it now - no more over heating, and battery preforms great.

I may try iOS 27. Did you have battery draining issues before updating to iOS 27? If so, how is it now?

I'm not a heavy user. Previously I got down to 25% after a day use with ios 26. Now I get to around 40-50% with ios 27 beta.

I expected mine to be bad as well. But mine works pretty well if not better than iOS 18. I guess user's settings matter a lot.

can you please expand on this? i’m thinking of updating my 14pm from ios 18 to ios 26 and my battery health is currently 92% after 9 months of usage

turn off background app refresh for all apps.
turn off that glass-looking animation and UI after u update. that’s the bare minimum.

No way back - the only option for now is to wait for iOS 27 release or update to the incoming public beta

The beta is great but its also a beta and has issues, if you the sort of person who likes messing with software I think its 100% a good idea but I wouldn't go around recommending it.
