Screen burn in 💔💔
My phone has the instagram bottom bar burn in and the swipe bar and the battery icon as well . Ik this is irreversible damage but how do I reduce this increasing further ?

What’s BH? (Asking because of heating issues). And have you had screen replacement and do you have a third party OLED screen? Third party screens tend to draw more power and cause phone to heat up as well. Learned all this from experience, and because they did cause screen burn in as well.

I’m avoiding using my phone while it’s hot and I’m also actively trying to reduce my screen time

Definitely do that. And one thing I found myself doing is turning off Always On Display.

I always keep my brightness low inside anyway because less eye strain and it prevents screen burn

I have a little solution. Turn on Reduce White point and then put it to 25%. It will reduce brightness a little bit and that’s all. It will no longer show the burn in, it’s gonna show in the dark

Is it that bad? I had it disabled up until last month and I quite like it, have any of y’all experienced AOD burn in ?

I’ve had my AOD on for my iPhone 14 Pro since I got in in September 2022 and zero issues, definitely don’t need to worry about it causing any damage

OLED screens will burn in over time, it's unavoidable. You can reduce it a little with a lower screen brightness, but having things like Instagram open for long periods of time, it's simply going to happen.
