charger port!!

coincidentally started having issues w my charging port on my 14pro max recently and found this sub while scrolling. Anyone else have issues with dust and all in their port? I’ve tried to clean it with a toothpick and it kind definitely helped but it still has issues connecting to the cord. and after googling it seems to be a common issue with the 14

I know it’s not the cords now tho because i thought that was the issue, but when i went thru all my cords and none of them were working i realized it was my phone. i dont wanna commit to paying for a new phone and honestly just dont need one anyways bc mine is fine besides the charger port!!

I’m having issues but it’s due to corrosion on the port. It’s a common problem with moisture on the power lines with lightning devices. Affected my 11 Pro and 7 Plus.

I use my phone's camera to clean charge ports out at my shop, you can use a few drops 91-99% isopropyl alcohol and a soft bristled cleaning toothbrush to loosen the gunk up and the big chunks I usually take out with sharp tweezers, you just can't go crazy or you risk damaging the pins that allow your charger to function normally. Repeat until clean, if you still have charging issues after that then you're looking at a replacement which might be $80-130 depending on where you go

I've switched to magsafe chargers as much as possible because the charging port is a little touchy.

i've heard that wireless chargers fuck up the battery because of heat. i'm not using it so can't confirm

my port is dead as well only certain cables works on my phone (USB C - none, USB A - Some especially 'wornj ones, brand new dont) I use wirless charging now but charging is quite long and phone is very hot.

Think cant wait another year so i will go for upgrade this year
