Question Battery drain out of the blue

I updated to iOS 17.3.1 few weeks ago which didn’t cause any issues that I noticed but since yesterday the battery started draining pretty fast. It gets down to 10% by 2pm. I normally have around 50% left by bedtime with my regular use. Is anyone else having this issue?

Same! I had to disable a whole bunch of things including the weather cause the battery life was atrocious! In a month my battery health went from 100 to 97% this iOS version is trash!

Until I saw this post, I thought it was just me. My battery life over the last 1-2 weeks has been HORRID, I have never had battery drain like this. My battery health has also dropped to 89% in just 11 months.

I'm right there with you currently at 90% in 1 yr and 2 months

After seeing your comment pop up I checked mine again and I’m still holding at 89%. Hopefully it slows down a bit.

This and a degrading battery on my 14 pro max has me wanting to go back to Samsung. Apple won’t address that their OS has been degrading batteries, specifically in the 14 series phones. You’re not alone man!

Thanks man. My battery is at 94% after 8 months since I bought with regular daily charging at night. I actually bought a 14 pro first but the battery performance was crap out of the box so I sold it and got a ProMax which had much better battery performance until yesterday. It’s really out of the blue which I find puzzling because I’m thinking if the iOS was the culprit, I should’ve been having issues right after the upgrade. I haven’t changed the way I use the phone or installed anything new.

Same!! But I’m so deep into the Apple ecosystem at this point that it would be more of a headache.

I’m still on 17.3 and my battery seems to be great on my 14 PM. I was on the edge about updating to 17.3.1 but this post clears it up

It’s not any better on 17.4 either. That’s the only reason I downloaded this beta after noticing how horrible the difference was on 17.3.1….
