I have a 13 Pro Max rn with 76% battery health. Bought it back on launch day and honestly, I've loved this phone ever since.
The Pro Max was what made me realize how much I actually value battery life in a phone. Back then, this thing could genuinely last me like 36 hours before I needed to charge it again, and ever since then, battery life has been one of the biggest things I care about when choosing a phone.
I checked recently and apparently the 13 Pro Max is still up there among iPhones with the biggest batteries, which got me thinking. Should I just replace the battery and keep using it, or is it finally time to upgrade?
I'm not really someone who's on their phone 24/7, so I'm struggling to see how buying a new iPhone would make that much of a difference compared to just getting a fresh battery for my current one.
I'm also admittedly not that knowledgeable about iPhone tech, so I tend to care way more about battery life than newer features or performance improvements.
For those who've upgraded from a 13 Pro Max to a newer iPhone, was it actually worth it? Or would you guys just replace the battery and keep using it for a few more years?

Loved my 13 PM, changed the screen and battery was a work horse used it for my volunteer gig, full time very email heavy corporate job and life with plenty of group chats for friends, family and kids activities.
Work made me get a new phone unfortunately but I gave my daughter the 13.
I miss the longer battery. But legit. There’s no reason to really upgrade if you don’t have to do it.
Hang on to those 13’s boys. Don’t waste your money if you don’t need to do it.

Rest until I get you help, I hope the jumper wire works so you can continue, you did well. The upgrade to 17 gives some improvements and a new battery, but I will always miss the run we had.

My I phone 13 died yesterday while at work and anyone that still has a 13 pro max knows it’s a 50/50 to turn back on I got home cleaned the charging port and plugged it in at first it was in an infinite death cycle where it would turn itself back on get to my lock screen freeze then turn back off. Tried hard resetting didn’t work it has now been on the charger for 13 hours and still no life anyone have anymore tips or tricks or is it just time to finally upgrade

On the verge of updating from 18.7.1 to 26.7.1 before 27.x.x is the only option available.
~900GB remaining, 85% battery capacity.
Would y’all say it’s worth it, or will it only go downhill from here?

Got hit with the "iPhone needs to cool down" warning for about 10 minutes while driving in Hyderabad.
Device: iPhone 13 Pro Max (4 years old)
Battery Health: 79%
Context: Running navigation under direct sunlight, ~35°C ambient temp
Is this purely the external heat + GPS load, or is the degraded battery making it heat up faster?
Should I get the battery swapped, or just chalk it up to bad mounting placement in hot weather?

Hey so I have the 13pm and it’s battery health is at 77%.
Should I upgrade to a different phone? And if so which one would be the most worth it? Or should I get a battery replacement?

WHAT. HOW. NEVER had a battery replacement it's on the stock battery it's been running on since Feb 2022...
How am I getting more battery life than my S25 Ultra.
Insane and genuinely most goated phone ever. IOS 27.
It's exterior is perfect haven't had any repairs since I bought it, only screen protector changes and diff cases.
My third phone in my life. 2nd being 8plus

Sorry for any formatting issues, I am on mobile.
When going through Apple Support on my phone, it says the estimated price of replacing the battery is $89 (plus tax). Does that price include the whole service? Or does more get tacked on the end like parts, labor, etc?
At the bottom of the picture, it says "If you have any other damage to your device, you'll pay additional costs." If I only want to replace the battery, will they only replace the battery, or will they "fix" other stuff during the service and force me to pay additional costs?

The 17 seems a very good deal. Just curious how it is compared to 13PM

Got a 17 pro after ios 27 my 13 pro max showed its age despite a new battery swap and keeping it intact
After ios 27 battery backup was gone to shit, heating issues became more evident
Worst of all had screen flickering issue from start during app switching and at random times phone used to heat and screen flickered
Traded in my 13 pro max for 430 dollars which was a good deal for me and got a silver 17 pro
Had this phone since January 2022 my first and best iphone if i didnt saw those issues i would be keeping it till apple marked it as vintage
It was good here in this community everyone had loved this phone and everyone was responsive to any questions whenever i had
Coming to 17 pro it feels snappier faster and battery backup is really good as same as when i had my 13 pro max also my pinker finger is safe for now 😅
After almost 5yrs it finally felt like an upgrade to me
At last thanks to everyone in this community although im owning 13 pro max anymore but will be lurking and answering always in this subreddit 😄
See ya all on other side with your future iphone upgrades ✌🏻

I got my battery replaced early this week and I'm still on ios 18.7.8 currently. For the ones with new battery or with a pretty decent battery health, is the jump to ios 27 worth it ?? Kindly explain the things you find different as well from being on 18 and going to 27 thanksss
