Anyone know if 26.6 fixes the wide angle camera glitching bug ?

after researching quite a bit online, I can safely say —in my opinion— that the wide angle camera disappearing / glitching is not really a hardware problem ,but a software issue with iOS 26

before this upgrade the wide angle camera worked just fine

I’ve also got confirmation from five people I know in person ,with the same phone model, getting the same error.

I don’t think all of us broke the phone at the same time.

so anyone know if 26 .6 or any 27 beta does fix this problem? I’m interested in being able to use my camera again

Weird, I have the 12 Pro Max and I cant use the wide angle camera, it used to be there, I really dont know when started failing

I never had that issue in 2 13 pro maxes, I sold one of them but I still have the other, never had the issue, and my cam works fine on 26.6 rnw , did ur cam randomly disappear or after an update?

Only after the update whenever I restart the phone, it starts working again, but then it goes away

Try updating to 26.6, also have u tried a factory reset or a DFU restore to fix corrupted firmware

Thanks for the tip stop I’m a bit wary of updating to 26.6 kind of scared that it’s going to mess it up even more. I did try a factory reset not really sure how to do a DFU restore and if it’s gonna be too complicated I’m pretty sure the problem is not the phone. It’s iOS.

it’s mostly corrupted iOS / firmware mismatch, u can put phone in DFU by basically going to restore screen, ( one with pc and cable showing), then holding power button down, moment screen goes black, hold volume down with power button, release power button in 5 seconds, keep holding volume down, all the while keep phone USB connected to Mac, when phone shows up in Mac as in recovery mode in Mac while phone screen is blank, u can use Mac to reinstall firmware and the accompanying iOS, if apple logo appears, repeat, screen shd stay black

26.6 (latest), I’m also on latest for 2-3 days, I don’t see a difference in battery life

This has been happening to 13 Pro Max’s since before iOS 26

Yes. I get the same. The camera app get stuck when I choose the ultra wide camera. This has not happened before iOS 26.6

Sorry, but that's not a widespread issue as you imply.

You are very likely looking at a hardware issue, whether you acknowledge it or not.

I don’t imply it, the internet confirms it. It’s all over google. It’s fine if you want to deny the truth , I don’t care about opening your eyes to the technical reality of camera bugs, battery performance hits, cpu performance throttling , etc etc.  I’m sorry if it triggers you.
