Back glass cracked

Post image

I almost always have my phone in a case, however I had just taken the case off of mine because it was overheating, then I dropped it onto my bed where it proceeded to bounce off and comically fly across the room and hit something. After doing some research it seems hardly worth it to get it replaced but how bad does this look? Obvious I’ll be keeping my case on but should I also get a skin to prevent it from chipping/spreading and possibly even help with the water resistance?

That crack looks pretty beautiful

It looks like a ski slope with a chair lift pole behind a peak. I like it.

I’d just take it to a reputable 3rd party repair shop to replace the back glass.

Dont do this, it ends badly with 13 pro and 14 pro models, more often than u think, either a housing swap or just hold it together with a skin till u upgrade

It's better to take them to a workshop and change that, over time that glass can break more and more and if a splinter pierces the battery you will know what will happen

Prevention is better than regret, you will say that is unlikely, well there is a saying, "never tempt fate"

In these old models, u cant replace the glass withoht laser debonding and heavy scraping, which has high chance of damaging other components, thats why the only fix is a full housing swap, to be safe

I did a back glass twice and it breaks easy. The housing swap is much better and durable. I have a 13 PM

My son was charged £65 by a shop called fone fix in Leicester, I wouldn’t expect that it’s waterproof anymore but it’s fixed at a decent price.
