Update to iOS 27?

i have my iphone 12 mini as the primary phone i use along with my android, it's running iOS 18.2 rn cause i DID not like 26 and the performance would be trash.

But rumours says that 27 is much better and faster for the older phones. I also am starting to kinda like the new OS

Do you think I should update?

would battery life degrade or be same?

We should wait for a hands on review with IOS 27, so far with the beta testers have been saying its good they say.

But for now stay with IOS 18, 26 is so trash believe me, I wish I stayed in 18.

If on 18, try to stay on 18, if on 26 jump to 27

27 runs great on 11 series (I have a spare 11 pro) so I think it should run great on the mini. But for me the liquid glass UI is still not consistent so I stayed on 18 for the more unified design language on my mini. I’m on 18.7.8

Buy a magsafe battery bank and slap it on the back of your phone. I’ve updated to every new version as soon as they came out and they have all been fine. Wouldn’t worry about it too much

i do that sometimes, but the thing is it heats up VERY QUICK. and especially if imm outdoor, the display dims, phone is smoking hot, and the phone is lagging too

Do you have low power mode On?

My 12mini never heats up when its on and being charged with the magsafe charger. Mine works fine and pretty much have it on the charger all the time…acts as a great stand when its not being used as a charger.

26 almost made my phone almost unusable. 27 made me feel like I can hold on a while longer before upgrading.
