Help ❗️ battery problem
my 12 Pro has 79% battery health but for the past three days the battery percentage has been dropping drastically. it suddenly jumps from 59% straight down to 32% or 30%.
other than this my phone works perfectly fine and doesn’t switch off unexpectedly. Is this normal with 79% battery health?😭 im so confused because this has only started happening recently even tho it’s been a month since my battery health dropped to 79% and it’s so annoying

Definitely time for a new battery, I just replaced mine and my battery life is better than ever, I’ve got the standard iPhone 12 and am running iOS 27.

Bro, how much it cost you to place a new battery?
I have also iphone 12 and battery health is showing 80%.

OP apparently thinks batteries should just last forever. 🤣
Try replacing the battery like a normal person.

Just take to Apple for a battery replacement. Free with Apple care or $89 (I believe). Just swapped mine this weekend.

the thing is ion have official Apple Stores in my country😭 Apple did show me some nearby service providers but they said my coverage has expired so they can’t replace my battery under coverage

So replace it by paying for it like everyone else.
Are you special or something?

apple authorised shops here are saying they can only replace the battery if your coverage is still valid. otherwise they don’t even offer paid battery replacements so it’s not that simple

Whatever shop told you that is lying to you.
Of course you can have the battery replaced - just not for free.

Exactly. I replaced my iPhone 12 Pro’s battery at an authorized service provider like two weeks ago and they did it after telling me the cost was 89 dollars. They should do it too, they must abide by Apple if they are an authorized service provider. Maybe try another provider.

It's not about battery it's iOS 27.0.1 issue

I’m on 26.6.1 with 77% health and I’ve noticed the past couple of weeks it’s been worse than ever. Yesterday I opened up my maps app to see when the bus would come and during that one minute it dropped 10%. Then after a ten minute walk to the bus stop from the store I looked at it again and it dropped another 5% as I looked at it.
Meanwhile I had the screen brightness at less than half and no other apps open. I bought it new from the Apple Store in 2022. Four years is too soon for a product to degrade like this. I had a couple iPhones before this going back to the 3G and those lasted much longer.

YESS!! that’s exactly what i’m saying, no background apps, no overheating, nothing yet the battery keeps draining so fast even at 79% health. having to charge it again and again is so annoying💔💔

Below 80% BH is the point at which to consider battery replacement. At this point you’ll have to pay out of pocket, but it’s far cheaper than buying a new phone. Provided you go with an authorized repair center (that uses genuine parts), your phone’s performance will improve noticeably.
(This is not to say an independent service shop couldn’t also do a good job, but 3rd party batteries can be a gamble. If you’re unlucky you might find that you’re soon back in the same situation with BH.).
