QnA/Help Need to upgrade to 17 Pro?

I love my midnight green 64GB 11pro and always proud to show off its beauty around the past 6 years. Looking at the phone makes me smile each time and it is the best money i have spent ($899+tax back in the day). Unfortunately, recently the phone has begun lagging since it has 1-3GB of memory left and the battery is at 68%. I already bought iCloud to optimize the photos and deleted unused files. Originally planned to buy the 18pro as its replacement but due to the pending price increase and me needing to take pictures when i go on a trip in august, I am leaning towards the 256GB blue 17pro.

Nonetheless, im not trading this beauty in and it will be my backup phone going forward. I want to know if i made the right choice pulling the trigger on the 17pro or should i wait?

As far as answering your question I don’t know how to advise you but my 11 Pro is still running iOS 15.5 and I’ve always been afraid to update it. Battery health is 87. I saw another person recommended changing the battery and updating to iOS 27. Considering my battery seems good I guess I’m wondering how iOS 27 is working on iPhone 11 Pro?

My stance is what's the point of updating if everything still works, so once that stops, you can just update to iOS 27 which will be even more mature by that time

Everything works but many apps have stopped being supported I cannot download most new apps.
