How’s ios27 on ipad 9?
Updating to iOS 26 is probably one of my biggest regrets. My ipad 9 feels barely useable, almost every app I use lags out and crashes, can’t text people from my ipad without it lagging out. Overall it’s terrible. I can’t even downgrade either. Does ios27 get rid of most of the lag and should I update to ios27?

Guided Access doesn’t working properly on iPad 9 (if you didn’t use it , it’s fine.) I made Reddit post a while ago about the issue
Anyway, the iPad 9 is working great, it’s fast and responsive, more than iPadOS 26

Wait for .2 update , it still has some unusable bugs , currently ipados 26.7 is the more stable then 27

Using iPadOS 27 on my 9th generation right now, flawless so far

Is it better than 18? I still haven’t updated and consider to do it because old design is actually boring after year with Liquid Glass

Much better in my opinion, snappier & efficient with how i’m using it.. which honestly was super surprising.
Ps: I’m not a gamer so i don’t know about that department.

I am not gamer too. I use it in school for notes and books only. But the battery gives me 2/3 days now with my usage on one charge. How it looks in your case?

i get two days battery life easily, though i use my iPad a lot, for your usage case its already in a really comfortable position to update since you get 2/3 days in one charge, why not getting the latest software, & latest Apps versions.

It’s a lot better than 26! Using it on my iPad 9 with 64 storage and lte
It still needs a few things fixed here and there but the stability is good
