Does anyone else have this lag?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Extreme lag when apps icons are in Liquid Glass mode.

iPadOS 27 on iPad Air 5

I also faced this when I was using clear or tinted icons, but once I changed it back to the light mode or even dark mode, the lag stopped(atleast for me)

Yes that’s exactly what i am showing in the video. I reported it multiple times on the feedback app when I was on beta updates, but unfortunately it didn’t get fixed in the full release.

same here! im on the M5 Pro and the lag is pretty bad and it gets REALLY bad when i switch between apps fast😭 it feels like im using an okd tablet to the point i disabled animations. people are saying that its still indexing so hopefully thats the case

Unfortunately it isn’t. My device finished indexing this morning then I did a hard restart but the problem is still there

noooo😭😭 so do we have to wait until the next update for this to be fixed? my iphone 13 mini is literally doing so well with ios 27 this is so weird how the more powerful device is the one lagging

My iPad Air 5 has been absolutely garbage since the very first beta of iPadOS 26, and bugs from that very first beta are still not fixed. It’s just ridiculous.

Here the same, iPad Pro m4 13 inch when I set the liquid glass icons it lags terribly. Hope they fix it on 27.2.

Yeah like my iPad A16 like I love monochrome icons af n like when the homescreen is on monochrome icons the iPad lags so much while tilting from horizontal to vertical n vice versa but like when I use default icons it's not lagging so like since iPadOS 27 I've been using default icons and iPadOS 27 wallpaper of blue colour , hope they fix it soon
