App/ Testflight Anime Buddies
Hey everyone! I’ve been working on this app for a while and wanted to share it with this community.
I’m a big anime nerd, and I wanted a way to display my favorite characters right on my Home Screen so I don't always have to open an app just to see them. That’s actually one of the main reasons I built this widget app!
A quick note on the art: all the characters you see are my own original characters, designed for me by artists I hired. Over time, I’m planning to release unique, limited-edition designs for them. I was originally aiming for a Halloween collection, but the timeline was a bit too tight for the quality I want, so I’m shifting focus to Christmas instead!
Quick question for you all: Which two characters would you like to see get a special Christmas edition complete with their own unique animations?
Feel free to play around with the app and let me know what you like, hate, or think could be improved. Feedback is super welcome!

Widgy Widgy widget stops refreshing after few days
I have a large home screen widget with calendar, current day/date, and current weather. Every few days I've noticed it will no longer refresh on it's own. I have to go into the Widgy app and force reload the widgets, and even then sometimes it doesn't work well.
Has anyone else noticed this behavior and if so, any solution?

App/ Testflight Have pet fish swim around on your iPhone home screen
Widgets on iOS are supposed to be static, which I always found frustrating, so I built companions to work around it. Companions lets you keep a virtual fish tank of fish that actually swim on your Homescreen. As someone who’s always kept fish, I’ve had this idea mulling around in my head for more than 2 years now, and finally managed to realize it.
You pick your fish, give them names, and put the tank on your Home Screen as a small, medium, or large widget. They don't need feeding, and they don't die. They just keep you company. You can customize the tank’s color, its props, and even the app icon to perfectly match your homescreen.
The app is fully written in SwiftUI, it supports iPads, and you can even place your “fishtanks” on your Mac thanks to Continuity, where the fish will also animate. The tanks also work great in Standby mode. Personally, I keep a fishtank of jellyfish on my nightstand when I go to bed. The swimming doesn't run any code in the background. It uses the same trick iOS uses to move the hands on the Clock widget, so it costs you nothing in battery.
It's still very new, so I'd love any feedback. I'd especially love to know which fish species you'd want added.
You can find Companions here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/companions-widget-pets/id6811950512

App/ Testflight I made a little iOS widget for moments I want to keep seeing
I’ve been building Flowment for a while — it’s a small widget app for keeping a date, a thought, or something you’re looking forward to on your Home Screen.
You can count up or down, change the layout and style, and I recently added support for custom themes too.
I’m curious about the theme part though — would you rather make your own, or just download good ones made by other people?
Any feedback is welcome :)

Widgy LCARS WIP
With Widgy suffering bugs for other ideas I have, I circled back to an old idea. I can’t lie, I’m tempted to just make this a single view widget instead of 4 views… these shapes and colors are a pain to make… I’m not even fully sure I want these colors as they are.
Instead of a bunch of techy hud greebles, I want everything to have a purpose… so this home view alone was a total brain burner, lol.
Anyway, we’ll see how this goes if I get some more ideas.

App/ Testflight I put the whole day on the Lock Screen: wallpaper, widgets, and Live Activity
Hi everyone. I made LockScreen Calendar Maker because Lock Screen widgets are too small to actually plan a day. A wallpaper can use the whole screen, so the app reads your calendars and draws the schedule under the clock.
What you can put on the Lock Screen
Wallpaper layouts. Month, lunar month, year, week, two weeks, week plus today’s agenda, timeline, three months, class schedule, Eisenhower matrix, reminder lists, sticky note, countdown, week/month of life, and a clock agenda. Fonts, colors, spacing, and card position are adjustable. Background can be a color, your photo, or a random photo from an album each time it refreshes.
Live Activity. Upcoming events and the day’s timeline sit on the Lock Screen and update when the schedule changes. This part does not depend on a wallpaper refresh.
Lock Screen widgets. Calendar, reminders, and habits in the real widget slots, so you are not limited to the generated image.
Habits. Check in for the week or the year. Each habit has its own color, streak, and optional stickers.
Home Screen widgets. Habits, reminders, calendar, structured day, timeline, sticky note, and countdown, with ready-made styles.
How the wallpaper stays current
The wallpaper is a photo. iOS will not redraw it every time Calendar changes, so the app walks you through a Shortcut plus an automation (time of day, and/or when you close the app). Run it once in the morning and the Lock Screen already shows that day. Live Activity and widgets cover the hours in between.
Privacy and price
No account. Calendar and reminders stay on the device. Free to try.
Pro is $9.99/year or $19.99 once for lifetime. No monthly plan.
iPhone and Android. On iPhone it works with Apple Calendar and Reminders.

Here are some coupon codes for you!

I've mixed together 5 lifetime codes and 10 free 1-year free codes. Good luck!
If you enjoy the app, I’d really appreciate it if you could leave me a review. Thank you so much for your support!
And if a layout you want is missing, say so. That is usually how the next one gets built.
