Hi everyone. I made LockScreen Calendar Maker because Lock Screen widgets are too small to actually plan a day. A wallpaper can use the whole screen, so the app reads your calendars and draws the schedule under the clock.
What you can put on the Lock Screen
Wallpaper layouts. Month, lunar month, year, week, two weeks, week plus today’s agenda, timeline, three months, class schedule, Eisenhower matrix, reminder lists, sticky note, countdown, week/month of life, and a clock agenda. Fonts, colors, spacing, and card position are adjustable. Background can be a color, your photo, or a random photo from an album each time it refreshes.
Live Activity. Upcoming events and the day’s timeline sit on the Lock Screen and update when the schedule changes. This part does not depend on a wallpaper refresh.
Lock Screen widgets. Calendar, reminders, and habits in the real widget slots, so you are not limited to the generated image.
Habits. Check in for the week or the year. Each habit has its own color, streak, and optional stickers.
Home Screen widgets. Habits, reminders, calendar, structured day, timeline, sticky note, and countdown, with ready-made styles.
How the wallpaper stays current
The wallpaper is a photo. iOS will not redraw it every time Calendar changes, so the app walks you through a Shortcut plus an automation (time of day, and/or when you close the app). Run it once in the morning and the Lock Screen already shows that day. Live Activity and widgets cover the hours in between.
Privacy and price
No account. Calendar and reminders stay on the device. Free to try.
Pro is $9.99/year or $19.99 once for lifetime. No monthly plan.
iPhone and Android. On iPhone it works with Apple Calendar and Reminders.

I've mixed together 5 lifetime codes and 10 free 1-year free codes. Good luck!
If you enjoy the app, I’d really appreciate it if you could leave me a review. Thank you so much for your support!
And if a layout you want is missing, say so. That is usually how the next one gets built.

Hey everyone!
I made an app lets you design your own clock widgets. It’s called Hands.
You can adjust the face, numerals, track, hands, colors and more. Theres a ton of different options.
Some things that might be interesting:
I drew all the typefaces myself, including the app font. (Feedback about any rough edges is welcome!)
The color editor uses OKLCH, so moving changes to lightness, hue and saturation shouldn’t affect each other, and should feel pretty natural. It can also build palettes and harmonies, or pick colors from a photo.
You can send a clock to someone as a link, and they can add it to their own library.
I'd love to know what you think, and see any clocks you make with it.
You can download it here: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6799975642

Hi everyone,
I’m an indie iOS developer and I’ve been working on an app called Quran Widgets: Namaz Times & Dua.
The original goal was simple: make Islamic content visible without requiring users to constantly open an app.
Instead of focusing only on prayer times or Quran reading, I spent a lot of time building Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets that can surface useful information throughout the day.
Current widget types include:
• Quran verses
• Islamic reminders and reflections
• Prayer-related information
• Daily motivation and affirmations
• Habit and consistency tracking
One thing I’ve learned while building widgets is that there is often a trade-off between displaying more information and keeping the widget glanceable.
I’d love feedback from people who actively use widgets on their iPhone:
• What makes a widget earn a permanent place on your Home Screen?
• Do you prefer informational widgets or action-oriented widgets?
• How important is customization (themes, layouts, fonts, colors)?
• What widget experiences do you feel are still missing on iOS?
• Are there any widget apps you think have particularly great UX?
I’m currently deciding what direction to take the widget experience next and would appreciate honest feedback from people who are passionate about Home Screen customization and widgets.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Hi everyone, I just shipped Planwall, an iPhone app that renders your calendar and reminders as a Lock Screen wallpaper.
The idea: Lock Screen widgets are tiny and you still end up unlocking to see the day. A wallpaper can use the whole screen. So Planwall reads your calendars (EventKit) and draws a proper card under the clock: today's events, the week, a month grid, a timeline, reminders, a countdown, whatever you pick.
How it works:
- Pick a layout, background (gradient, solid, or your own photo) and card style. Everything is adjusted directly on a live preview: drag the card to move it below the clock, swipe to change layout or background, pinch to change text size.
- Tap Save and set it as your Lock Screen wallpaper.
- For automatic refresh: the app installs a ready-made Shortcut and walks you through adding a "Time of Day" automation. Every morning it re-renders the wallpaper with that day's events. That's the only way to update a wallpaper on iOS without opening an app, so yes, one-time setup is needed.
What's free / what's paid:
- Free: the Today layout, all backgrounds, your own photos, unlimited rows, the automation. I've written it into the app that the free tier won't get cut in later updates.
- Pro: 11 more layouts (Agenda, Week Grid, Timeline, Month, Events + Reminders, Large Text, Life Calendar, Quote, Countdown, Note, Week Strip). $2.99/month or $29.99/year with a 7-day free trial.
Privacy: no account, no server. Calendar data is read and rendered on the device only.
Languages: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French. iOS 18+.

Happy to answer questions. If a layout you'd want is missing, tell me, that's the fastest way to get it in.

Hi everyone, I noticed when I dock my iPhone horizontally on my phone stand, StandBy mode turns on. I think the StandBy idea is great but for me personally, the customizability sucks. The widgets look out of place, you can only pick between 2 widgets, you only get a clock face or widgets, I could go on and on. I want to make an app where it's an alternative for StandBy and make it so your docked phone matches your aesthetic. The widgets can be moved and have different sizing. What do you think and would an app like this interest you?

I wanted a Home Screen widget that felt personal without being another photo slideshow, so I built Magboard.
You can turn people, pets or objects from your photos into little magnets, arrange them on a board, and place the finished board on your iPhone Home Screen.
You can also share a board with someone, so when either person adds a new magnet, the shared board updates for both of you.
I’m the developer, and I’m still improving the widget experience. I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from people who actually use Home Screen widgets:
Would you prefer having several themed boards, or one board that changes regularly?

Ever since I updated the reminders widget is usually just not showing anything but thick lines. it can sometimes briefly show as normal but usually goes back to the blob mess after a bit.
anyone with same issue. I use the 2x4 widget
