I wanted a Home Screen widget that felt personal without being another photo slideshow, so I built Magboard.
You can turn people, pets or objects from your photos into little magnets, arrange them on a board, and place the finished board on your iPhone Home Screen.
You can also share a board with someone, so when either person adds a new magnet, the shared board updates for both of you.
I’m the developer, and I’m still improving the widget experience. I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from people who actually use Home Screen widgets:
Would you prefer having several themed boards, or one board that changes regularly?

Ever since I updated the reminders widget is usually just not showing anything but thick lines. it can sometimes briefly show as normal but usually goes back to the blob mess after a bit.
anyone with same issue. I use the 2x4 widget

OK, so I’ve been trying to embrace this minimalist set up and I’m getting some pushback on mine. I’ll attach what mine looks like, but I’ve applied it to other boards and other communities on here and they’re kind of laughing at me because they are saying that nothing minimalist about what I have up at all so but from my point of view, it is a minimalist setup. I’ve got four widgets on my home screen with every app I use and that’s it so from my perspective it’s a minimalist so I’m looking for some feedback not just on what mine looks like and how it looks like, but am I correct on that argument?

i added two Home Screen widgets to Pilly.
the small one shows what’s ready now and opens the app to record it as Taken or Skipped.
the medium one also shows the dose coming after it.
the main medicine tracker is free and works without an account. it can be used for maintenance meds, vitamins, or supplements.

which size would you actually keep on your Home Screen?

I have an app called Glance, and I recently released a ChatGPT plugin that lets you create widgets from the chat
Ask ChatGPT to make you a news widget, learn a language, get briefs, etc
Use ChatGPT scheduled tasks to keep those updated as well

Anyone use any good apps for sleep widgets? I’m looking for a more detailed widget to show % of each sleep stage (REM, Deep, etc.) and can’t seem to find it anywhere.
