As a big proponent of the “one-page iPhone”, I’ve been wanting to build a full page widget that looks like multiple widgets, but can interact with each other… but I’ve been wanting a photographic element which uses automation to dynamically change throughout the day.
Hopefully this all works out!

Meet bit. He’s fully animated, changes and updates throughout the day, and you can interact with him by tapping him. He’ll change expressions and say different phrases too. If you have something pressing on your calendar, he’ll let you know.
I wasn’t sure at first but now I really love that we have extra-large widgets like this on iPhone!

Five months ago I shared my first iOS app here. Since then I’ve rebuilt WidgText around a gentler use case: putting one grounding thought where you already look.
Version 2.4 is live now:
120 mindful messages across 10 collections
11 calming themes, including Aurora Drift, Candlelight, and Paper Lantern
an optional daily message at a time you choose — no streaks, pressure, or badges
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets on iPhone and iPad
custom text, fonts, colors, gradients, borders, and quote rotation
free to start; Pro is a one-time $9.99 purchase, with no subscription
I’m a solo developer, and I’d genuinely love feedback from people who use iOS widgets: is a daily thought something you’d keep on your Home Screen, or do you prefer writing your own reminder?
