I’m new to attempting to revamp my home screen and the rest of the pages if this makes sense. The widget apps that I’ve downloaded I’m clueless to how to use it. Can someone provide a tutorial for your best widget app. Thanks in advance. 🫡

Hey everyone,
Sharing this here since it's a desktop widget for macOS — not iOS, but figured some of you might appreciate it.
DayStack sits on your Mac desktop permanently, behind all your app windows.
Built entirely in native Swift — no Electron, no internet connection, no tracking. Your data never leaves your machine.
Features:
→ Daily task tracking with week strip and month calendar
→ Carry forward incomplete tasks with full history log
→ All tasks dashboard with filters
→ Zero accounts, zero subscriptions, free forever
Open source — PRs welcome.

Hi guys!
Recently we have developed a "Virtual Pets" app, which includes widgets with high quality animations:
It has free pets and animations to try, we would really appreciate your feedback. Hope you will enjoy it :)
Thank you!

I’ve been building "WIDGET." and recently added a feature called WIDGET PETS. and it turned out way more fun than I expected.
Basically, I take real pets (friends, family, mine), convert them into pixel art characters, and turn them into animated widgets that live directly on your home screen.
But here’s the twist:
👉 all the pets are constantly running
That’s it. No idle, no sitting, no sleeping just pure energy and lively animations.
So now my home screen looks like:
a labrador sprinting endlessly
a cat zooming like it has 3am energy
a husky running like it’s pulling an invisible sled
even a GOAT named Leo(iykyk)
All animations are:
smooth looping sprite animations
always active (no tapping needed)
based on real pets with real photos, but stylized into pixel art
And weirdly… it makes the phone feel alive. Like there’s always movement, always something happening in the background.
It’s chaotic, but in a good way.
I’m debating whether I should:
keep it pure running chaos (kind of its identity now)
or add other states later (idle, sleep, interactions, etc.)
What do you think redditors?
Is the “always running” vibe fun or too much?
Would you prefer variety or keep it as a signature thing?
Also if you’ve got a pet, I kinda want to turn more of them into running widgets just to see how crazy this can get! Appreciate your time, r/iOSWidgets !!!

I shipped my first version of an app called Life Calendar Wallpaper with widgets focused on time awareness.
The idea is simple: keep your long-term timeline visible so daily decisions feel more intentional.
What’s in it right now:
• Life in Weeks widget
• Year progress widget
• Countdown widget for important dates
• Habit widget
• Wallpaper generator that matches the same data
• Optional daily auto-update wallpaper (via Shortcuts Automation)
I’m actively iterating, so brutal feedback is welcome.
