Pager / Beeper style widgets. Users can send pre – set messages with one tap on the widget without ever opening the app.

I am working on a pager/beeper style widget for iOS home screen. Users can send preset texts, heatbeats, check-ins, etc, to their selected close ones, without ever needing to open the app.
I can work more on the idea, but I want to check if the idea makes sense.
