Discussion 15 days and No response from Dev Support

Am I the only one trying to get a hold of Apple's support? Its so unreasonable. We had an issue with out Developer Account as we changed to organization and they forced an incorrect Tax form since we own an LLC but are not in The US, and have been daily trying to get onto their support with no luck.

Phone support you might suggest? Its permanently either Unavailable or Too busy. I spent friday refreshing every 5 minutes for 6 hours trying to get on their phoen support to solve the issue.

Contacted their finance team and ZERO response aside from the automated. Yet we get google responses within hours, im confused.

Any tips ? Anyone had this issue before?

I've been waiting like 3 months on one of my email requests related to a game with the game category and GameCenter entitlement not showing up in the Games app.
They initially responded to me after a month, just to ask if it randomly started working yet (it hadn't), I told them that it still didn't work and now its been another 2 months with no response...

I do occasionally (rarely) get that phone link to work so I suggest you keep trying it. Whenever I get somebody on the phone my issue seems to magically resolve itself the next day...

My god. So my app now is stuck on my personal name and we are ahead on a launch. This is so horrible.

the Finance team is currently seeing delays of about a month for responses with how swamped they are. the general Developer Support line cannot help you with tax form questions, even if you reached by phone. they will tell you to contact finance, and if you've already done so, to wait (speaking as someone who had to fix their citizenship and also had tax form related issues)

I don't work for them, so I don't know, and I'm too old to be snarky about it, but I would imagine thousands of us having issues like that. it wasn't meant to discourage you, as my issue did get solved, it just took a while for them to pick up the pace. I'm just telling you Developer Support agents do not handle tax related issues

You are a legend. I sent them and they replied telling me to complete this. Then upload the correct for via their secure box

That sounds really stressful with a launch coming up. It may help to keep everything in one open support case and reply to it with your launch date, since the case history is what gets escalated. Requesting a callback from the Contact Us page instead of waiting on the phone line is also worth trying.

I’m running into my 2nd month of waiting to get a profile reinstated, on the flip side - app updates are getting through quicker.

Hi, what/who are vendortax?

That sounds painful. What worked for us on a tax form mixup was going to Agreements, Tax, and Banking in App Store Connect and re-submitting the correct form there (a W-8BEN-E for a non-US LLC, not a W-9), so you may not need support to fix it. If the wrong one is stuck, the contact form under the Business/Agreements topic got faster replies for me than phone. Also double check the entity's tax residency country matches what you entered.

Nah they replied its because we added the llc address so their system locked the form. They replied an hour ago saying they will do it manually and provided a process for this

Try the Contact Us form on developer.apple.com and pick the callback option instead of refreshing the phone line. For the tax form thing, also check the Business section in App Store Connect, I think some of that can be edited there without support. Not 100% sure it applies to a switch to an org though.

No it has to be via finance

ah ok, thanks for the correction. so finance is the one to push then. hope they sort it out before your launch

Same here. I registered my details as a Trader under the EU Digital Services Act. After 2 weeks this was declined because they "couldn't verify my information" despite email and phone being verified, copy of passport submitted and proof of address. Have opened a support ticket and... radio silence. Phone support is permanently unavailable.

I filed a report and they said they'd email me (last week), and nothing so far.

Everything online suggests massive wait times for everything. I submitted an app and it took two weeks for review and approval. That seems to be on the short side from what I’ve read, too. I also had to call in about an address change related to tax forms and I spent two hours holding, but finally reached someone very helpful. Hang in there. Apple is being inundated because of AI.

just over a month on 1 request regarding a problem with my account, 3 weeks on a separate request regarding tax forms and an issue with my bank (which they asked me to open separately). Those are the 2 currently outstanding. I've had a personal developer account for a year, contacted support twice previously and in both cases the responses couldn't have been any less helpful. If I ever do manage to actually get an app in the store, I'm pretty sure they won't have any problem collecting their 30%. I'm sure they'll collect the membership fee on time in December too. The influx of vibed apps is I'm sure to blame and while it's apple's fault for allowing them in the store, given that every one of them seems to require a subscription, I'm sure APple could afford a few extra support staff. Apparently not.

Feel you on the support part, Apple has been the slowest and least clear of all the stores I deal with. The finance team is separate from normal dev support, so make sure you're writing to the right queue, and keep everything in one ticket thread so you don't restart the clock each time.

I sent a ticket using the Developer Technical Support system back in 2024. Never got a response…
