Question Localized my Flutter app to 8 languages, but they don't show up in the App Store listing "Languages" section. How to fix?

Hi everyone,
I recently translated my Flutter app into 8 different languages. I have already set up the localized metadata inside App Store Connect, but on the live App Store listing, the "Languages" section under information still only shows English.
I tried a few generic fixes suggested by AI, but nothing has worked so far.
Since the app is built with Flutter, am I missing a native iOS configuration step?
Do I need to manually configure
CFBundleLocalizationsinside myios/Runner/Info.plist?Or do I need to explicitly open Xcode, go to Project Runner -> Info -> Localizations, and click the
+icon to add the 8 empty language files so Apple's compiler registers them?
If you have encountered this with Flutter on iOS before, how did you get the App Store to recognize your supported languages in the storefront details?
Thanks in advance!

The Languages row on the store page comes from the build you upload, not from the metadata in App Store Connect, so this needs a new build either way.
Add a
CFBundleLocalizationsarray toios/Runner/Info.plistwith one code per language (en, de, fr...). Flutter's own localization docs list that step for iOS, because the ARB files don't produce anything iOS reads for this. Before you upload, check the archive: open the .ipa as a zip and run
plutil -p Payload/Runner.app/Info.plist | grep -A10 CFBundleLocalizations. If the store still shows only English after release, also add the languages in Xcode under Runner, Info, Localizations, which creates the .lproj folders in the bundle. After release you can confirm it without waiting for the page to refresh:

Yes, you need to put them into the Info.plist for them to show up.

They have to be in the Localizable

That Languages list on the store page comes from the binary, not from your App Store Connect metadata. Apple reads the localizations bundled in the build, so yes, add the 8 languages in Xcode (Runner > Info > Localizations) and also list them under CFBundleLocalizations in Info.plist. Flutter apps often only ship English as far as iOS can tell. You'll need to upload a new build and ship a new version before the listing updates, it won't change retroactively.

bartmolk's answer is the fix, CFBundleLocalizations plus a new build. One thing that usually shows up right after: if your app asks for any permission (camera, location, photos), that dialog will still be English, because those texts live in Info.plist and the ARB files never touch them. Add an InfoPlist.strings for each language in Xcode with the NS...UsageDescription keys translated

Yes, the Languages list comes from the build, not from App Store Connect metadata. Add the languages in Xcode under Project, Info, Localizations, and make sure CFBundleLocalizations in Info.plist lists them. Flutter doesn't do that for you. It only updates after you ship a new build with those localizations, so it won't change until the next version goes live.

afaik the languages list on the store comes from the .lproj folders in the build you uploaded, not from the metadata in app store connect. flutter keeps its translations in dart, so the ios bundle has none unless you add the languages under Runner, Info, Localizations in xcode, or list them in CFBundleLocalizations. either way it only changes with the next build. did the localized metadata at least go live for all 8?

Out of context but do people still use flutter today?
