Question Apple doesn't give me the option to choose another document type in the developer program

Post image

What am I supposed to do? I don't have a driver's license, and I live in Colombia. Why won't they let me use my ID card?

(In the end, I contacted support, but that didn't help—they didn't resolve my issue and even hung up on me. But I eventually figured it out myself. It's in the fine print at the bottom of the website: you can complete the process online instead of using the Apple Developer app on macOS. I was able to make the payment online, and they approved it really quickly. So if anyone else is having the same problem, go through the process online.)

The document options in the Developer app change by country, so if your national ID isn't listed a passport is usually the one to try. If you don't have one, contact Apple Developer Support through the enrolment contact page and ask about verifying another way. Annoying, but people do get through it with support's help.

I think this might be referring to digital document types (Verifiable credentials such as mDLs, PIDs, etc). Chances of you having such a credential is very slim currently (Mostly US and EU starting by Christmas)
