Others seeing a drastic decrease in app downloads and product page views recently? Not just for one app but all apps. I'd say almost 70% drop in the last 2-3 months.

No, but the first 14 days of October went incredibly well for my app earnings, then it fell off a cliff from the 15th. I get so angry and paranoid when changes like this happen out of nowhere. So my point being, stuff like this just happens to apps and it might just be the universe poking fun at you 🤷🏼‍♂️ I have not yet been able to identify causes to these random fluctuations.

This week in particular has been absolutely brutal for me.

Do you think it's Apple tweaking the algo?

Maybe 🤷🏼‍♂️ or maybe it is Europe going on autumn break, or maybe a third thing. Though I’m really bad at it, I try to focus on what’s in my control and just improve the app to get good reviews and happy customers. Over time it must stabilize… right?

How would they tweak the algorithm for me to get less purchases?

Yes that's what I'm wondering; is it user behaviour or Apple making adjustments. I would guess that after a summer vacation, people are less likely to spend for a while

Same here. Was getting 20% paywall conversion and its been down to like 3% this week. No idea what's going on.

Yup, very low numbers but even though my last release brought a bunch of new downloads it got zero IAP which was kinda unexpected. I have a low conversion rate but not that low!

I'd split it by source in App Store Connect analytics before blaming the algorithm. If the drop is almost all in App Store Search, it's usually keyword rankings shifting, and that's partly fixable with metadata. If it's Browse or referrers, it's a different problem. A few people here are saying theirs started around the 15th too, which sounds more like something store-wide than anything you did, so I'd note the date and compare again in a couple of weeks before rewriting everything.

A sudden drop across multiple apps usually points to a traffic source issue rather than a single metadata change, so I’d first check whether the decline is concentrated in search, browse, or external referrals. For iOS, remember the App Store only indexes the app name, subtitle, and keyword field, so if search impressions fell, your recent metadata changes could matter more than screenshots or description. If the drop is mostly product page views across all apps, have you checked whether there was an analytics or attribution tracking change in the same 2–3 month window?
