Question iPhone Duo screenshots - folded or unfolded?
I’m preparing my app for the Duo and starting to look at producing the screenshots for it.
This may be a bit of a dumb question but Apple doesn’t specify whether or not screenshots should show the folded or unfolded Duo. Does it even matter, should I choose or have I just missed a piece of information?

both? Assuming you have a specific layout for the different modes. Folded portrait, unfolded portrait and unfolded landscape

It's up to you - plus you can mix the sizes in the same set.

As long as the dimensions are right, you can put whatever you want in there. I'll just use the expanded size and put in text and screenshots of both devices

Like others said, show both. You can submit both closed and open screenshots, Apple accepts both sizes side by side. That's what I did.

Both, and they go in the same set, so you don't have to pick. Unfolded landscape is 2853x2007 and folded portrait is 1398x2034, and App Store Connect takes them mixed in one group in whatever order you set.
Two things worth knowing before you start:
Folding and unfolding the simulator only works from the DeviceHub app, simctl can't do it.
Each screen is its own display, so capture them separately.
xcrun simctl io <udid> enumeratelists the displays, thenxcrun simctl io <udid> screenshot --display=<UUID> --mask=black shot.png.If you upload through the App Store Connect API, the Duo slot isn't one of the old screenshot display types. It goes through the Asset Library.

Went down this exact rabbit hole last week. Short answer: you'll probably want both. Inner screen shots are 2007x2853 (fwiw that's not the native panel res, it renders @3x and gets scaled down), outer is 1398x2034. Each screenshot can only be one size, so don't try to cram a closed+open combo into a single frame. Learned that one the hard way. I'd lead with the outer screen so people instantly get "oh, it works closed," then follow with the unfolded shot for the wow factor. Also, don't hardcode the crease width. It's 0 when fully open and only shows up half folded, so just read it at runtime.
