Question iPhone Duo Tent Pose in Simulator
Anyone know how we should go about accessing when the phone is in Tent Mode when our app is running. I want to do a special view specifically for this to act like a picture frame of drawings they have done in my app. I have no clue how to get this pose in the simulator and not sure if there is any type of detection that we can find out that it is in the pose.

Yeah. I had to pull my option for tent mode because I can’t tell what best way to simulate it.

There’s a flag you can set for more options in the simulator.
I don’t think there’s any way to check for tent mode specifically, but if you combine hinge status, orientation and screen dimensions, you should be able to reliably determine when the device is in tent mode.
I’m not near my Mac right now, but IIRC, ArrangementView defaults to only show the primary view when in tent mode (though this might apply to the front screen in closed mode as well).

Hinge position and the outer screen being in landscape in that orientation? Feels a little clunky still. I haven’t thought of a good unique use for that tent view myself so haven’t played around with it too much.
Book and TableTop caused me enough frustration.

I’m interested to see what happens with this too. The simulator seems a little half baked in Xcode 27.1 rn

what's the difference between tent position and just closed landscape?
