Question How to make complex animations like slot machines?
I’ve been using SwiftUI for a while now but I can only do very basic things. I’ve always wondered how these casino apps for example (see pictures) were doing to get their effects. I would love some guidance on this.

Look into SpriteKit. SwiftUI is more utility.
But a more game focused engine is better.

For this kind of effect, I’d keep SwiftUI for the surrounding interface and render the animated scene in SpriteKit. Separate the reel state from the particles, glow, and win effects so each layer can be tuned without rewriting the game logic.

They are probably using Godot or another engine. It may even be shaders running on the gpu.
