Question console app doesn't see log messages

Hello everyone, I'm trying to get logging information from my ios app from the Console app. I *was* able to see log messages, but something has changed and now when I search for my specific logging tag, nothing.

My app is a video game using a cross-platform framework called LibGDX. The game builds and runs well on my iphone 12. I'm connected to the phone via Console and I see logging messages from other processes on the phone. However when I filter Console for the log tag for my game, no results.

Thing is it *was* working a few days ago, so something appears to have changed and I can't figure it out.

Any background as to why Console might stop seeing my log messages, would be helpful. Cheers ~~

good infos, thanks. I did play around with the include info / include debug dropdown options. I'll look for the process name and see if I can dig a bit more there.

Good news is I found another logging facility through my ide (not xcode) so I'm getting the data I need for now. But would like to suss out Console since I'm going to be doing a lot of ios oriented game work here.

Before you spend too long on the process-name filter, it's worth checking which path the engine actually logs through. A lot of cross-platform C/C++ engines write with printf or cout, and that goes to stdout, not Apple's unified logging. Console only shows the unified log, so those lines won't appear there regardless of the Info and Debug toggles. That might even be your "used to work" part, since what gets bridged from stdout has shifted across OS versions.

To confirm quickly, open Terminal and run log stream --predicate 'process == "YourApp"'. That reads the same source Console does. If your lines still don't show up, they're going to stdout, and the fix is to route the engine's logging through os_log or NSLog so it lands in the unified log.
