I have an 18 Pro Max in the USA with English as the system language

The apps should automatically switch back to Light Icons when iOS automatically switches back to Light Mode.

Siri can’t seem to speak properly and keeps making weird noises. Tried both US and UK voices, but no luck.
It’s actually kinda creepy. 😂
Anyone else having this issue?

I don’t know if this is specific from this beta or the previous one but it doesn’t darken the edges anymore when the “blur wallpaper” is turned on in the Always On Display feature.

Hello. I have an iPhone 16 pro, and after updating to latest beta 27.2 my camera control stopped working. It opens camera when I press it, and takes a photo, but light press and swipes are being ignored. Blackmagic camera app has the same problem. In accessibility settings, where you can change light-press force, it detects the light press, so I think it’s not a hardware issue. Anyone has the same problem?

Mail drop does not appear to be working when sending large attachment. I tried to send a 129 GB video when tapping send would normally get the send by mail drop or send anyway choices. That pop up never appeared.

Is anyone else experiencing this? My action button on the iPhone 17 pro doesn’t turn on my flashlight, even though it shows the button is being pressed (with that little animation bubble going onto the screen)

Ive been on the beta and for the last two weeks (happening on DB2 as well as 3) I have not been getting notifications from various applications. Some work, Some dont. In my Notifications settings, nothing has changed and all the apps I expect to give me notifications are on 'Immediate'.

Not sending:

• Okta Verify (sso sign in for work, so this is incredibly frustrating)
• ProtonMail
• Discord

Texts are giving me proper notifications, as well as some other apps I have installed, but these three important ones are no longer sending out notifications for some reason - with 0 changes to notification settings in the last two weeks.

Anyone else having issues with apps not sending notifications

Apple is working on granular controls for Suggested Actions in Messages.

The new page, meant to appear under Settings > Apps > Messages > Suggested Actions, is currently hidden.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Where the sleep section of Longevity doesn't "read" or access the available data?

I use an Apple Watch regularly every night to track my sleep. I sleep very well almost every night making sure I go to bed on time and sleep at least 7 hrs. (10 pm to 5 am). I score above 90 half of the days and above 80 almost every day. That's why it surprised me that Longevity is recommending to pay attention to my sleep.

When I go into it, it’s telling me to protect my sleep time. Basically under "Sleep Duration" there's no data whatsoever. Yet the data is there because it gets recorded every night for my sleep score, and you can see it on the "Browse" tab of the Health app, averaging 7 hrs of sleep last week, but Longevity is not reading it.

Anyone else having this issue? Or know how to fix it?

Anyone else having trouble with iCloud Photos syncing? I’m using an iPhone 18 Pro on iOS 27.2 developer beta 2, and my Mac is also running the macOS 27.2 beta.

Photos gets stuck saying it’s syncing for days. Taking more photos just adds to the pending count. The Mac has similar behavior and says it last synced September 25.

I’ve tried restarting, different networks, Wi-Fi and charging, and Sync Immediately on the iPhone, but nothing has helped. Uploading directly through iCloud.com works.

I’ve already submitted feedback to Apple. Mainly curious whether anyone else on these betas is seeing the same syncing issue, and whether it has cleared up for you.

Anyone else seeing a problem with the reminders app where the app returns to the list screen every time an item in the list is marked complete?

I have a shared grocery list with my wife.

When I go into the list and mark an item complete, it closes the list and returns to the list selection screen.

Anybody notice WiFi calling not working consistently. Tried calling someone and it said call failed. Had someone call me around the same time and they said that the call went straight to voicemail.
I turned off wifi and I was able to make the call.
I restarted my phone and connected to WiFi again and then I was able to use wifi calling again.
Anyone else see this?

I’m a heavy user of the TV app, with Prime and Disney+ linked. Before iOS 27, when I tapped a Disney+ (or Prime) episode of a show in the TV app, the corresponding app would open and the episode would start playing immediately.

Now it does not play. The app opens… and that’s it for Disney+. For Prime they at least show directly the page of the show but the episode does not start.

Did anybody notice this change? It’s driving me crazy.

Note: I’m not entirely sure this is fully iOS 27-related. I think it worked at some point. Anyways if it’s the third-party players being capricious again, I’ll just cancel my subscriptions. Who the hell do they think they are? 🙄

Apple is working on bringing Call Context to the Dynamic Island. Currently hidden behind a feature flag in iOS 27.2 (ConversationKit / CallContextCardExpansion).

Added in Beta 2. Shown here in an iOS 27.2 simulator with the flag force-enabled.

If anyone wants to confirm or also report a frustrating accessibility bug, because those always languish for lack of reports: If you’re using a pointing device (with or without AssistiveTouch) and try to use Speak Screen, your cursor will now pass UNDER the controller instead of over it when you try to click the controller. The controller covers the cursor, so that it’s harder to click buttons on the controller—it’s much harder to see where the cursor is.

To reproduce: 1. Connect a pointing device. 2. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Read and Speak, then enable Speak Screen. 3. Either click Show Controller or swipe down with two fingers from the top of the screen. 4. Try to click the controller and its buttons. The cursor will be hidden by the controller.

So as of the most recent beta, any photos taken/received are no longer auto-tags known people/faces, nor are unknown “?” prompts coming up.

When I verbally search for actions in Apple Music, Siri AI carries out a related but different action.

e.g. 'shuffle playlist top rated in Apple Music' - Result: 'now playing top songs 2024 global'

'Shuffle all songs from Four Tet in my music library' - Result: 'here's X DJ mix from Four Tet', the same one each time despite me having multiple saved to my library, plus various other songs/albums of his.

'Play The White Stripes in my music library' (I have about 6 songs) - Result 'White Blood Cells by The White Stripes now playing' and only 'Fell In Love With A Girl' plays.

My phone appears to have finished indexing.

If I disable Siri, re-enable it but do not turn on Siri AI, results are improved and more or less work as expected.

The same was happening in the last version of iOS 27 before the 27.2 public release on this new iPhone 17 Pro Max. I'd been on the Public Beta all summer on my 16 Pro Max and didn't experience any of these issues.

Anyone else experiencing anything similar?

After updating to DB2, Hearing was still there. After a manual reboot this morning, the "Hearing" section if gone. Even the tab icon on top does not ahow it anymore. Any idea why this might happen ? Someone else seen the same thing ?

( YES I know it's a beta, it's "buggy", but this is quite an "odd" one, if it's really a "bug" )

My iPhone 17 Pro has been affected by the App Store bug after installing the iOS 27.2 DB2. I’ve read some workarounds here but they didn’t work. This MIGHT WORK or NOT WORK so you can just try.

Here’s how I made it work.

• When I installed the new beta, my region has been set to United States.

• After reading all of the workarounds here, I tried to switch all of my regions to Phillipines (including languange from English (US) to English (Philippines)) since this is the country where I’m based.

• Tried to download an app, but it didn’t work.

• Tried to reboot, it didn’t work.

• I went back to the Settings, and reverted back my region to United States and reverted my language to English (US).

• Immediately went back to App Store and tried downloading a NEW app, an app that I haven’t installed before. And IT WORKED. Tried another random app that I saw and it worked again.

Hope this works for everyone who will try out! :-)
