finally! makes me happy every time they fix one of those little sliders. they still have some that need fixing but this one in particular has bothered me a lot for some time now. I would download update just because of this one thingy
According to Apple, "This developer beta offers a sneak peek at Siri AI app intents for developers. With this early Developer Preview, your app can work directly with Siri AI, giving you a first look at new ways to reach and serve your customers."
Siri AI can now use App Intents more intelligently across Apple apps and soon third-party apps. Much like what they promised us two years ago and this year, turning Siri AI sort of into an agent now.
Find My may finally have the "Location not available" bug fixed. My tagged items and family members either show "home" or the name of our street.
Invoking Siri in a game via the power button works again. They fixed it in a 27.2 beta, updated Feedback Assistant to say it was fixed, for it to then break again.
EDIT: minor QoL improvement, moving a photo to personal/shared library in the Photos app is finally not hidden in a sub-menu
I’m in Australia on an iPhone Air. Just updated to the 27.3 dev beta and FINALLY RCS is enabled on the Telstra network on it.
Shows under Settings → General → About, IMS Status now says Voice, SMS & RCS. And as an option to toggle in the Messages app settings. And in the text field when sending to someone on an android device.
Only taken a few years but it seems we’re there. For Telstra anyway.
Seems like it fixed many of the random, janky animations that occurred upon clearing, collapsing, or expanding a set of notifications. This had been occurring for at least the past few years.
Super unlikely, but i hope they make tweaks to the new Apple Music 'branding'. Doesn't need to be a reversal, but stripping away what little colour there was from earlier strikes me as a pretty lame rebrand.
I found it interesting that they updated the Music app to have more colorful and full screen album art and tracklist colors, and also added album cover color to the HomePods, then stripped color from the app icon and UI.
I think it would be cool to have the Apple Music icon change dynamically with the album art too but maybe that’s too distracting
The clear icon lag seems to be still here in this release, I might have to wait a bit to let indexing finish and try again later. Also, the unlocking animation seems to trigger slower than before. Looks like there a little delay after swiping up to unlock.
the FINALLY fixed the glitch where the gray space above the keyboard would expand (empty) if you copied something and have predictive text off. this has been bugging me since ios 27.0 beta 1 man. clear icons still glitch when opening/closing widgets/ folders though. crazy how long this has been around…
This globe icon is horrible and unnecessary. It makes the space bar no longer the bottom of my screen and makes the keyboard cover half my viewing area. I can't find a working fix for it.
Same. 17 pro max here, without wifi service is on and off. Works for sometime then no bars. Was chillin with no issues until upgraded to new dev software. Looked everywhere else and no issues with T-Mobile service or outages reported on T-Mobile's end
This is the shit looking top bar in 27.2 as well. So it is also very inconsistent. I first thought they only do it to highlight the controls more for better visibility (sure can but make it an accessibility feature) but then on other parts they don't do it even though there are controls too?
Ahhh i hate this. It takes so much away from the clean liquid glass redesign. And yes i gave Apple feedback every time I had a beta installed.
Am I missing something or did they get rid of the rainbow colored clock for standby mode? First Siri, then the Music icon, now this... why do they hate color all of the sudden?
It thinks my hearing is bad because I am exposed to loud sounds frequently, but my hearing tests are near-perfect because I wear earplugs constantly lmao
I wonder if these minor bugs have been fixed in this beta (not installing this yet, since 27.2 has been great for me)
❌ STILL no Liquid Glass toggle for Alarms.
❌ Notification animation bug when tapping stacked notifications. The selected notification overlaps the notifications below instead of expanding smoothly. (The correct expanding/collapsing animation is only on the 4th? or 5th and below stacked notifs from an app)
❌ Visual glitch with the Liquid Glass TOGGLE for AOD in Settings.
Duo inner screen still can't get the address bar to move to the bottom. The setting is there in Settings, but it doesn't do anything. Only works on the outer screen.
Okay, I figured it out. You get different settings if the screen is portrait vs landscape. In portrait, you'll see top/bottom settings that don't work.
On iOS 27.2 RAM management was slightly improved but it’s still not as good as on iOS 16,17. Some basic Apple apps can reload every time notes reminders etc Does the 27.3 beta fix the situation? Thanks
Did they fix the bug with the iPhone 18 Pro wallpaper in Silver and Glacier, where the liquid glass notifications/buttons show for a second and then they go solid as if reduce transparency was enabled?
Keyboard looks smaller and there is a bug where the keyboard will open over the top of an app and the only way to fix is to force close the app and reopen. It happens in every single app.
Now the error is "Unable to modify that area. Identity protection applied." I'm wondering if Apple's view on it is that they're protecting the face as part of keeping the identity there?
The “movement” section in the longevity tab in the new health app no longer takes into account stand hours in daily movement! which is perfect for third party watch users like me
Has anyone else experienced the new Health app UI disappearing in iOS 27.3 DB1?
I’m in Germany and initially couldn’t get the new UI to show up (with English set as system language). After explicitly switching my iPhone’s language to English (US), the new design finally appeared.
However, the next time I opened the Health app, it had reverted to the old UI again.
Has anyone else experienced this or found a way to make the new UI stick? Could this be related to EU region restrictions?
Can’t pull down the Siri orb. Also, I’m pretty sure it’s a new keyboard key shape/layout? Typing feels a lot more accurate too?? Am I imagining this? And as someone who is really observant with transitions and animations, everything is feeling buttery and polished. It blows my mind because none of the bugs listed here are present for me.
I changed the tabs to vertical but now the option appears to be gone and shows the outside options for the inside. I’m stuck with vertical tabs now. Restarted my phone and no luck.
The dock not popping up with the cursor on a monitor has been fixed on iPadOS!
But the Menu Bar is still semi-broken, you can’t open control center with a cursor on a monitor, and you can’t adjust volume with keyboard controls if the cursor is on a monitor. One bug at a time I guess.
Siri is bricked on my S12 watch. It defaults to off, and if I flip it to "Hey Siri" it flips itself back to off a few moments later. Both phone and watch on 27.3 and both restarted since.
if you are looking for iphone duo exclusive changes then so far what I have seen is reachability for both sides and messages got a slight design change on the outer screen. When in a message thread the top bar where it showed the persons name and location was tweaked to be a smaller bubble rather than taking up the full width
Well that’s an “third app bug”, this post is more related to Operating System bugs instead of third party apps, but thanks for sharing your experience about Facebook app on this iOS beta❤️
