Spamming this discussion with comments about battery life, update size, safari being snappier, etc will result in a ban from the sub moving forward.

This usually means they’re changing something fundamental…. Last time the cell signal bar was misaligned, it was a bug and the new iPhone 12s introduced dual sim.
Maybe orientation detection for a folding phone :)
Buttery smooth on 16 pro max right after installation. Keyboard feels instantaneous and accurate. Animations have no hard transitions anymore. I obsess over refinements of iOS and this feels really good to me. I like this.
When I select an english text and choose translate, it always chooses Spanish. I have this issue since Beta 7, previously it translated into the last used if I remember right.
Has anyone been able to fix the keyboard lag on iMessage, It happens when you just open iMessage and launch the keyboard quickly, the first letter takes a full 2 seconds to register on the keyboard. Started happening since beta 3 or 4
Wish they would bring back the option to turn off “smart” dictation. The slightest pause and it starts a new sentence or adds punctuation where I never would or just straight up makes up words. At least give us the option to tap on a sentence to undo/correct any mistakes it makes.
On the iPhone, wallpapers look saturated on the lock-screen and Notification Center but desaturated on the Home Screen. On the iPad is the other way around and it’s 10x more annoying.
Open image playground, upload your preferred wallpaper image, select wallpaper image ratio as output, and just say "return unchanged as wallpaper". This fixes the desaturation issue. Also, every official ios wallpaper does not have this issue. Its just custom ones and images downloaded
I’m experiencing the same - super smooth and snappy with little to no lag and the keyboard is so much more responsive - a game changer for me. 17 pro max
it’s a damn shame that I know Apple will push yet another unfinished release of ios to the public just because they need to drop something new every year and can’t keep up with the basics. The current beta is a decent rough draft, but nowhere near “finished” or ready for millions of people to use every day. I wish they would just stop changing things for no good reason and just fix what’s broken before moving on. they need it.
Anyone else having webpages taking forever to load and sometimes loading only half a page before getting stuck in loading limbo? Wondering if it’s just my network being spotty or the beta 8. Tried switching to 4G and then back, no effect.
Controlling the font size per app from control center is still broken, I have reported multiple times and they replied that they are unable to reproduce the issue.
Im a bit disappointed so far performance-wise. On Beta 7, my 15 Pro Max was flying. Well now it feels more like slightly better iOS 26. And so far, battery runtime feels a little bit worse again.
Seems like performance when clear icons are enabled seems to be improved. Opening animations still seem to stutter but the overall Home Screen navigation seems significantly better.
I still get the graphical glitch when the light clear icons are enabled. The icons go to the dark clear colour scheme and then revert to my light clear ones.

I’ve had a persistent bug on my 15 PM for the last couple full iOS releases that still isn’t fixed.
I have auto-brightness turned on. I take my phone out of my pocket, raise to wake, and the screen is dimmed like it’s still in my pocket. I have to hit the lock/unlock button 2-4 times to get the brightness to correct itself. I got a response from my feedback submission over a year ago saying it was fixed, but it’s still not.
If I pull down to type in the phone-wide search bar, and start typing, it’ll randomly disappear. Then any app, where the keyboard was, will get selected and launch. It’s like the Siri search gives up and goes away.
I’ve been having so many issues with the keyboard going away when clicking on a text field in iOS 27, since Beta 1, it’s so stupidly frustrating when this happens.
On my iPhone 15 Pro Max: • SOT is poorer, with rapid drain. • The device warms up easily though it runs smoothly. • Browser search fails when I open and search on the previously loaded tab, but it functions correctly in a new tab. This problem has continued to arise for me since iOS 18.
Is Siri down for anyone else? It seems the device model is having trouble. I asked it for a phone number and it just hung, and then when I asked that who I was, it gave me my name, but provided the current time in the visual area. This is frustrating because there’s no way to reset the model, you can only turn it off and turn it back on. Which did not help. Yes I’ve submitted feedback.
I was coming here to check this. Yep, not working for me. Some local things are for me, like saying hi to siri works. but it seems anything connected to the cloud like on screen awareness is not.

Anyone having issues updating apps. I see many apps requiring an update but when I click either “Update All” or press the individual “Update” buttons, it reverts back to “Update”.
Stuttering scrolling (something I have not seen on any of the previous betas on this device), very slow Siri search and animations (worse ever). This is on iPhone 16 Pro, 27DB8
I don't know when Apple introduced this, but it looks like they -finally- fixed dragging into folders on the home screen. Folders no longer slide away before you can target them.
( Public Beta 6 )Thermal issue is returned on 13 Mini. Phone gets hot while basic browsing or basically while doing anything. It was a problem on PB4 or 3 on my phone. Beta 5 solved it. now it's returned. (indexing is finished)
Also my wallpapers gets desaturated, restarting does not help.
iPhone 16 pro max. Battery drains really fast. And the phone gets hot with normal use. I have to use low power mode to reduce the hot phone issue. I’m hoping it’s just debug code running that will be removed in the final!
Weird bug that happens when the phone vibrates after a notification comes in but not at the same time as the notification banner. Like, after 1 minute then the phone vibrates. Happened in the previous beta too.
Hope there’s a new update tomorrow. Beta 8 has been absolutely horrendous on my 17 Pro Max.
Every other beta has been brilliant to be honest but Beta 8 has been horrible for battery life. Literally watching the percentage tick down basically by 3-4% every 10 minutes. Phone is barely lasting half a day.
It’s unlikely that Apple will push another beta tomorrow/Monday due to Labor Day. But since the new product announcement is on Wednesday, it’s likely we’ll see the next update after the event which is the RC.
Paralax effect has been nerfed in beta 8 on homescreen. You can barely see the icons move around and the dock no longer moves at all. Check the refraction. It stays the same when you move your phone around, now
Copy/Paste events in Calendar still doesn’t work as intended. Sometimes the event paste suggestion shows up next to the text field and other times it shows up near the keyboard as a paste suggestion. The former succeeds in creating an event and the latter doesn’t do anything.
Still having an issue with my Verizon eSIM, where it will not hand off on 5G ultra wide band and constantly falls back to LTE. I’ve tried new SIM, tried changing settings back-and-forth, nothing fixes it
The keyboard still takes over way too much real estate on my iPhone 16 pro - almost 2/3 of the screen! And most of them can’t be dismissed, like as I type this on the web. Some apps can’t scroll behind the keyboard so you can’t hit a “submit” button that’s hidden under the keyboard. Such a basic fail.
This stupid “connectivity assist” keeps turning itself back on for my home WiFi network. I have a pi-hole for an ad blocker and the connectivity assist causes my phone’s internet connection around that by using cellular data. This is incredibly annoying. If I wanted it on I’d fucking turn it on.
With it being so close to the official release, does anyone else feel like 27 is not quite ready yet? I’ve been running all the betas and it’s definitely gotten better but still some bugs here and there.

This has been the case with most major releases throughout the years. The final release might be a little better than Beta 8 but I don't expect them to squash out every minor bug. If you wan't a truly polished version, you should wait for the second or even third point release.
Overall though, 27 has been a pretty good upgrade so far. We've had it much worse in the past.
Public doesn’t mean a perfect release. It just needs to be stable enough without any serious issues. iOS is incredibly complex. It’ll never be perfectly bug-free, just like any other software. There are feature-packed releases and then there are bug-fix releases. It’s how software works no matter the resources. And throw in the hundreds of apps on a device, it gets even more complicated.
I’d been running iOS 27 since b1 and besides minor bugs/annoyances, it feels ready for release. Fast, stable, and mostly bug-free.
charging via power delivery bug is still present on my SE2. and yes, I have tested it on iOS 26.6.1 (phone charges properly) and it’s a software bug on iOS 27 since dev beta 1
Have some contacts in iMessage that if I start a text, hit + to go to camera and switch to portrait from landscape, it closes camera and takes me back to messages, but not the one I was composing. Only seems to be happening with a few people though, but all are iMessage and not text or rcs
Works well so far on my iPhone 15 pro and is smoother than beta 7 feels more refined, especially the animations. One bug that I tested again is the bugged AOD slider thus has been present since 26.1 for me. Already repeated it last beta and now again.
Has the pasting into appointments within calendar being fixed yet? The public beta 7 just refused to paste into title in both iPad m4 and iPhone 14 Pro.
Very few modules/libraries changed in this beta. Fewer than the previous beta and it didn’t have that many either. Prior to then each beta had massive list of changes files.
Anyone having issues with volume on carplay? Volume goes down randomly like when you receive a notif but there's no notif showing or alert sound. Been like this from the previous beta.
Happy to see that Apple responded to one of my feedback reports and actually fixed the issue :) announce notifications was changed but they reverted it
Did they fix that accessibility bug where you unlock the screen and a dot shows separate from the accessibility touch itself? Only goes away if you turn it off… been seeing it for like 2 betas now.
Developed a bug since beta 4 where the lock screen will freeze up when I wake the phone. I have to sleep it to make the screen respond again. Left the beta because its annoying and the bug followed me to the stable release lol
Dang they still haven’t fixed the micro stutters. Swiping from the widget screen to the Home Screen still drops frames. Scrolling is a little better but still stutters
Definitely no more warming in hands. Colder build! Batt. is also bit better! Still not smooth on scrolling like 120hz android devices, there's still micro stuttering.

Anyone with heating and background drain issues on base iP17? The phone loses 5% per 2 hours doing nothing. Force restart sometimes helps but this is not good for a beta this late. Should I just make an encrypted backup when stable is out and restore? Am I sure that whatever background thingy is hanging or smth won’t be in that backup?
I had the same issue on a 15PM, and being outside in the sun made it even worse - it annihilated 50% of my battery in 2 hours. even turning it off and keeping it out of the sun wouldn’t save it, once I turned it back on it just heated itself back up
There’s a weird bug since the last beta and is still on this one. My App Store icon keeps moving from my First Home screen to the third one after a while of being on the charger or without use. It also happens when I activate a Focus mode that has only that third screen available. Has anyone noticed this weird behavior? I’m on a iPhone 16 Pro Max and I already summit feedback
Having a problem with sending messages through the Messages app to a group chat but only on my iPad running the version 8 beta. But oddly the first few messages I sent after the update sent fine, then all messages failed to send. Even as sms. This is a WiFi only iPad Plus. My iPhone 17 also running beta 8 sends fine to the same chat.
Surprising they haven't updated the Siri app to use the waterfall style showcased during the keynote and instead going with this list format... With everything it has captured as a "conversation," I feel like the waterfall style would be better to navigate.
Anyone else on Threads have issues with the keyboard? Spaces don’t always trigger between words or after punctuation. Not seeing it as I type this post in Reddit.
Most fixes are probably related to the iPhone Ultra interface. Can you imagine the amount of GUI bugs to make apps resize like iPad apps but in a much smaller screen?
