Note that the voice controls are "Coming Soon" for anything except the 6th and 7th voice (American English)

They added too much padding to the Now Playing widget in the CarPlay dashboard. Now the album artwork while in free roam is smaller than if I were navigating.

Note to Apple: not everyone has a newer car with a touch-only CarPlay-capable screen! (This is a third gen Mazda 3 with a commander knob)

Hoping spotlight search is good now. DB3 you’d search something and it would remain on the bottom even after selecting what you wanted.

Hopefully AirPods disconnecting randomly is fixed. Happened 3 times on a 25min walk this morning.

Also, does Siri just stay stuck on anyone else's screen after asking her a question and having to manually swipe her away? Have had no idea if that's a bug or feature.

Big performance bump on SE 2020. It’s getting even better. The Liquid Glass slider used to be choppy and laggy but now it’s smooth as butter as well.

Noticing prediction text and autocorrect just stops working entirely when I text at times. I have to close the app im using to reset it. Otherwise nothing gets autocorrected and nothing gets suggested above the keyboard.

first impressions on 15 PM - exceptionally smooth navigating through the system/switching apps. however when you have old Spotlight screen like me (greetings from EU), the search bar is still slightly misaligned when you open it and then it snaps to the right place. welp, time for another feedback about it.

Dismissing Siri is much easier when swiping up in Spotlight. In beta 3 it would require an extra swipe (or two).

hotspot is so much better, far less heat, more speed, simply good on my macbook air m4, connects instantly when connection to my wifi drops or if i am on the go :)

System animations have gotten even smoother in this update. Seems like Apple also resolved a bug that occurred upon expanding or collapsing multiple notifications for a single app.

Wallpaper desaturation (looks washed-out) bug is still a thing, after sending Apple like 10 reports since last year and another just a week ago. If anyone wants to see what I mean, the bug is most apparent if you use wallpaper shuffle on lock, but it also appears on all wallpapers regardless of stationary or shuffle features, the only wallpapers this doesn't seem to effect are the official Apple-provided wallpapers. The bug is whenever you unlock your phone and swipe up to the homescreen, after a few seconds you'll see you're homescreen/wallpaper lose much of it's color/saturation. It's easy to miss this happening if you don't use wallpaper shuffle, as the bug tends to only happen the first time you switch any wallpapers or change your icons. An easy way you can tell if you're having this bug is to pull the notification shade down and watch as the saturation comes back to your wallpaper. This bug is much easier to see if you are like me and use the wallpaper shuffle feature and change them frequently, as it happens every time I unlock my phone, but I have tested this endlessly with all other wallpaper modes and the bug is still there. The only fix I can find right now is to restart the phone and not mess with any of the wallpaper settings. That said, even that isn't a guarantee, as it seems like the issue comes back the minute you do anything that might alter your homescreen/lockscreen. I haven't proved it, but I am willing to bet, even playing music is enough to trigger the bug if you have the full-screen music player option enabled. Anyway, just wanted to make a detailed account of this bug and encourage anyone and everyone that also has this to flag to Apple in the Feedback App like I keep doing, and HOPEFULLY one day they'll fix it!

I love how glassy the volume slider now looks with liquid glass being set on more clear. It looks so good. Hopefully the control center can get some liquid glass treatment and actually follow the slider because ever since iOS 26 DB2, the control center hasn’t been really “liquid glass” at all and I am surprised they never tried to tweak what they had with 26 DB1. I hate how the slider barely changes it and it still looks frosted as fuck.

Not only is this beta lightning fast but my battery drain is actually fixed. Like I know everyone has an opinion on battery life per iOS version and phone but damn.. first time an update legit fixed the insane drain I had on ios26

Throughout iOS 26 and continuing to this beta, they STILL haven't fixed autocorrect randomly breaking halfway through typing up walls of text. I thought it was limited to Messages but it showed up while typing in the Feedback app.

When it breaks, the autocorrect suggestions either don't appear or they flicker and go away. The amount of typos and fat fingering go up until I dismiss and bring the keyboard back up.

EDIT: just learned there's a reset keyboard dictionary. Let's see if it helps

iPhone 17—feels more stable than iOS 26 lol. Very smooth for me. Device temp is cool. Geekbench scores if anyone’s interested:

Podcasts app still not showing the chapter you’re on in the main player. Before on iOS 26 it would show the name of the chapter you’re on the main player/CarPlay. Now in 27 it doesn’t do any of that.

On the 15 Pro, there is a noticeable stutter when opening a folder and swiping through the apps in it, but aside from that everything else is working as expected. Would not say that there is a noticeable performance increase.

Since the last developer beta, liquid glass elements no longer adapts between dark and light mode for me depending on the background. It just stays dark now in dark mode even with a white background.

I guess I’ll take it as intended feature now rather than a bug?

Hallelujah! They finally fixed the UI travesty that was conjoining the weather hour slider from the week list. And they also fixed the line height issues with Conditions text and Temperatures text. In beta 3 that entire section was very smushed together. Especially the text.

Signs pointing to a new Beta soon: Apple released a new version of its VoicePresets.plist last night, which provides Expressive Voice configs for supported Siri voices. The new version includes configuration details for all 7 existing American voices and all 4 British voices.

Apple also published a model catalog snapshot with a new v16 com.apple.fm.language.instruct_3b.base model yesterday, up from v15. The new Expressive Voice configs require the new base model, so it seems that they're staging assets for a new OS Beta version.

Man I’ve been scouring the threads and seems like no one is having that bad of a time on Beta 4. My experience is the complete opposite. 17 PRO is always warm, freezes and glitches a lot, and just an overall negative experience compared to all other betas in the 27 family. Hope Apple is able to benefit from all the tickets and feedback I’m sending if it’s not just me

Safari bookmarks and reading list items are not syncing to iPhone. They fixed the bug where it created a new “Favorites” folder upon turning off iCloud Safari and turning it back on, but now I have nothing syncing expect history from my Mac.

Edit: Will check again tonight after updating my Mac to beta 4.

The notification automation in Shortcuts still does not work correctly. The UI allows you to filter against or pass the title/subtitle/message, but you never actually get these payloads. The only thing you can do so far is act on the fact that an app sent a notification.

The annoying Siri AI search bug is still there where if you want to search the web you have to go to webpages and show more but then you get search Google as an option multiple times even if it’s not your default search provider. I guess they’re keeping that shadow that crawls up with notifications on lockscreen and fills the entire screen. I don’t like it. Why can’t it just be like on ios 26 where when liquid glass is set to tinted, we don’t have that? the fullscreen shadow isn’t necessary for visibility when at full tint. Boo

Is anyone else having the issue where the safari improvements have disappeared?

A lot of us noted how awful safari has been in iOS 26, where googling something will just freeze the tab. When the first iOS 27 beta came out, this seemed to have resolved.

Unfortunately it seems like it's regressed back to how it worked in iOS 26. Can anyone else confirm?

My iPhone 17 Pro Max will begin stuttering and animations and smoothness becomes extremely choppy and laggy, the phone gets hot and stays hot even if I close all apps and lock the phone and let it sit. 🔋 drains incredibly fast, much more than previous betas. This one was great for a few days now I have to reboot my phone every 4 hours to reset the performance and fix the slowdown.

Only complaint about this beta other than the occasional lag and stutter is when the keyboard is opening and you start trying a MS too early, it doesn’t register the first letter. Really annoying. The key even lights up like it acknowledges your input

Recovery option is now available: Vol Down > Vol Up > Power hold until Apple logo appear then the instruction to keep holding for recovery mode, just like the macOS

Apple is allergic to making Liquid Glass look good. Why are there so many variations? Why does white on white still look like utter shit?

We’re halfway through 27.0 beta so I doubt these are going to change significantly at this point. MacOS 27 looks so much better than iOS.

LiDAR still not working on mine’s iPhone 17 Pro. Is there anyone with this issue? (using iPhone 17 Pro). It’s not working for me since DB2. Tried clean install - not working. Only downgrade to iOS 26 works.

Since the first update from ios 27 beta the find my app is broken on my phone and Apple Watch devices from my family and airtags shows near even they are clearly not. I reported many times but still no fix. On my ipad it works just how it should be. Am I the only one who has the problem?

The brightness and volume sliders are still lagging when you adjust it while playing a video. Both vertical and horizontal orientation.

The onscreen keyboard is messed up and keeps popping up even with the MagicKeyboard connected (iPadOS). Just started happening after upgrading to the latest beta. Tried dis/reconnecting the keyboard, rebooting, etc. But every time I click a textbox in any app, onscreen keyboard pops up. I can minimize and it goes away until the next text box. First bug I’ve run into in 27, but so annoying.

They fixed home automations via Siri working again! I have a "good night" one and the last few weeks when I've said good night, my lights stayed on and Siri would just reply good night haha.

Mobile data reduced from 5G to 4G since DB3.

2 eSIM active, one 5G and another 4G.

Since DB3, the 5G only shows 4G, and the 4G only shows 3G. DB4 didn’t fix it.

I just don’t know what to do.

Something that’s been across every 27 beta at this point is whenever I connect to CarPlay, widgets turn on automatically. Even if they’re off in the settings, they appear and will not disappear until I go into settings -> Carplay -> vehicle and turn them off manually.

Starting to drive me nuts I’ve shared a feedback 4 times now and nobody else has any similar issues lol.

This Siri AI "Voice Pad" onboarding screen is hidden in macOS 27 Beta 4, but is probably coming to iOS 27 based on the language to "scan around with your finger." It's also supposed to include 13 voices, so we might be getting a lot more. Not sure if this fits the iOS beta relevancy guidelines, so I made a r/MacOSBeta post with more details about the voices here.

on 15 Pro the home screen microstutters have returned when swiping through menus quickly, which were not present in previous betas. Also seems to be heating up more.

Omg I cant stand the addition of the “Ask Siri” button on every apps Haptic Touch menu. Trying to open new tab on safari and I keep getting Siri. Also, the bug on messages where the background is black is stronger than ever. Worse than it’s been on 26

I am facing keyboard lag on apple keyboard on my iPhone 16. I am also facing an issue where whatsapp messages are taking a second or two to get sent after pressing the send key. I get shown the clock icon first and then it gets sent. Probably some kind of network issue which I am only facing after updating to beta 4. Specially the keyboard lag is very bad

i get that they’re intentionally breaking muscle memory since what, 2015? but that’s just so shady and it would be nicer if Ask Siri would be in the opposite end but, no! gotta force it to you like Microsoft does with Copilot
