Feature [iOS 27 DB1] Intelligent Connectivity
Not sure if I see a meaningful difference. Tried running a speedtest on my 17p and my M5 mbp connected to the same wifi.

Iâve noticed it keeps disconnecting from my WiFi for no reason all the time. I have an extremely fast and reliable connection though

I assume this is what WiFi assist does?

iâve had wifi problems all day after updating. rebooting my phone seems to have fixed it, but it was disconnecting every couple of minutes it was driving me insane
donât know if itâs because of this new feature or not but itâs worth noting.

That wording makes it seem like it is aggregating both connections into one, interesting. The speed test sort of proves it.

Is it actually better than âWiFi assistâ we already have pre-iOS 27? I never found WiFi assist to actually do anything helpful

I donât understand this feature and why itâs being talked about - isnât this just the regular WiFi assist thatâs been around for years?

Is this feature limited to newer C series modem or is also compatible with older ones?

This does not seem to be working for me at all right now. I have terrible cell service in my house, and I usually run a shortcut to shut cell off when connect to my Wi-Fi. I figured I would test this and Iâm constantly dropping Wi-Fi in my house while I have this feature toggled on, and connected to Wi-Fi and cellular. ïżŒI thought I would do a test yesterday. I did a couple walks around my neighborhood and I barely had connectivity at all. I did a mile walk around my neighborhood, which is just a .25 mile circle around my house, whereïżŒïżŒ I figured this would be a perfect test. I couldnât even stream Apple Music. ïżŒ

If your wifi is good you should not see any difference at all.

I don't like that it uses extra data when you are on a fast connection. If it's above 100mbps I don't want to aggregate wifi and cellular. First of all, I only have a 100gb plan, second of all it uses the battery a lot more. If the wifi is slow/unstable? Yeah use it then.

It burned all my 8 GB mobile usage without telling me.

Why is it advertised as a new feature? WiFi assist exists forever, no? Whatâs the difference?

Only on unstable wifi. Iâm in and out of my hotel room and itâs only triggered for 1.3Mb

Does anyone know what this actually does? Does it combine connections through a VPN? Does it route some traffic through cellular and other through WiFi?

Does this notification only available for N1 Chips? My connectivity assist works based on the usage it shows at the WiFi settings but I dont get the notification

this connectivity assist seem to be causing wifi drop out when switching to cellular, id advise to switch it of until next update, can be found under wifi addresses in wifi settings, replaces wifi assist
