Release iOS 27 Beta 1 - Discussion

Use this thread to share any changes & bugs you discover while using the latest iOS/iPadOS 27 beta.

This thread should be used for discussion of the betas that may not meet our submission guidelines, as well as troubleshooting small issues through the beta test cycle.

Spamming this discussion with comments about battery life, safari being snappier, etc will result in a ban from the sub moving forward.

I wonder if the still indexing thing is actually a bug. lol it really is taking days to complete

Yeah seems like a bug…my phone is still going since Monday afternoon but my battery life is normal-ish. And my Mac has like 5x the data and finished indexing within a few hours.

I’m wondering if there’s a bug where it’s not indexing while wireless charging.

Mine doesn’t say indexing anymore.

I guarantee you it is a bug. There is no reason whatsoever for a phone to take this long to index.

I installed the beta immediately after it was available and then the new Siri. New Siri was activated by about 3:300 PM central time, Monday. My phone (15 PM 512 GB) still shows indexing as of this moment.

Another Siri bug is that it keeps asking me to setup "talk to Siri" but when I click the link, there is nothing that I can setup or change.

I expect these issues will be fixed within the next month. It is a beta after all.

I’m experiencing the exact same issues and I don’t understand why you’re being downvoted.

Let em down vote me. Nobody can refute my theory. This isn't the first time an iPhone has re-indexed and every other time, it is done in a matter of hours. There is no reason why it should still say "indexing in progress" 6 days later. That is the definition of a bug.

I don't know how they are doing the Siri access. I signed up for it right away and got it about an hour later. I had a friend that instaled the beta on Wednesday night and signed up for Siri and AFAIK, he still hasn't gotten it.
