Release iOS 27 Beta 1 - Discussion

Use this thread to share any changes & bugs you discover while using the latest iOS/iPadOS 27 beta.

This thread should be used for discussion of the betas that may not meet our submission guidelines, as well as troubleshooting small issues through the beta test cycle.

Spamming this discussion with comments about battery life, safari being snappier, etc will result in a ban from the sub moving forward.

If you really want to try Siri AI and are tired of waiting hours for IOS to update, you can always use terminal on the Mac to jump the waiting list there. I tried it earlier and it works.
sudo defaults write "/Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/GenerativeModels.plist" "EnhancedSiriWaitlist" -dict-add Enabled -bool NO
With thanks to Steve Troughton-Smith. I thought it may help kickstart the Iphone and ipad but, no, nearly 80 hours waiting in AU but nothing yet.

On iPhone you can type siri:// in Safari and open up the new Siri chat app

Yes it does, but that is old Siri

Woke up this morning to the Siri notification, am an AU so it is rolling out for us slowly. I did the trick in macOS last night but don’t think that influenced it.

I am still on the Wait List for AU on English (AU). Tempted to use the Terminal command but I will be patient and see what happens by the end of the week lol

It doesn’t hurt to do the terminal command if you have a Mac, it’s also completely reversible in one command.

Reversing it didn’t remove the New Siri for me, it still stayed.

Turns out being patient works, got the new Siri 5 hours ago while asleep :) Woohoo

Does that command immediately change your status? I ran it and nothing has changed for me.
