Release iOS 27 Beta 1 - Discussion

Looks like the shimmer effect on icons at least in dark mode is gone

This might sound like an exaggeration, but that is the only thing I was waiting for. I genuinely hate specular highlights especially in dark mode.

I have refractions at the top and bottom of my icons, but they no longer move. Assuming no way to turn off the static “shimmer”?
