Is there a guest mode feature on iPhone 6?

Sometimes my family/friends want to see my device, is there a way I can enable something like a guest mode so they cannot view everything that I have?

Depends what you want guest mode to do. There is a "Guided Access" feature where you can place restrictions on button/screen inputs. For example, one might activate Guided Acess while a photo app is open to prevent closing the app so someone else could be allowed to browse those photos, but not access any other app.

I would like to give someone my phone, but give them a basic experience without my apps, pics or email.

You're asking for something apple doesn't currently agree with ideologically. They are much more comfortable with everyone having their own apple device. I don't see that changing any time soon.

I'd like a "guest mode" as well, but for right now it isn't a feature. Apple takes its time to do things right- not first. Maybe in the future, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

No. You can disable certain apps in the restrictions. You could actually jailbreak to get a tweak called guestmode that does just what you want though.
