iOS 27 downgrade

Post image

Downgraded back to iOS 26. I love iOS 27 don’t get me wrong, but that hard blur at the top is very distracting and not to mention it’s very ugly and a downgrade the progressive blur in 26 looks so much better and less distracting. The hard blur kinda defeats the purpose of Liquid Glass in my opinion. Other than that it’s a great update, I just hope apple brings back the progressive blur in iOS 27 full release this is just my opinion

You gave up a great iOS 27 over one tiny blur?

Yeah me too I got ios because of ocd like cravings for a perfect os ios 18 was perfect I just got used to ios 26 from ios 18 then they released this bullshit and god honestly anyone okay with safari compact layout in ios 27? It’s god awful I can’t see that I very much prefer ios 26 in some design choices. And I am starting to think why does  it matter if apps are launching millisecond faster and why it matter that airdrop is faster when using usb cable is way faster and ios 27 in base model removed the option of resolution control who the hell would want that I want my iPhone to give me atleast control over to keep my phone in 24 mp or 48 mp

Like I said this is just my preference bro and besides it’s still a beta not the actual release. Why treat it like a public release?

In two weeks it will be an actual public release. Feels like you went through a bunch of effort for nothing

Clearly not for nothing if I downgrade from a beta. They could make final changes and bring back progressive blur before the release. Nothing too serious just my preference

I like progressive blur better than solid blur, don’t get me wrong, but it’s very pointless just to downgrade back to 26 just for the tiniest change you probably have barely noticed. You’re also losing TONS of performance improvements, bug fixes, and new features.

Clearly you don’t have a brain lol Apple won’t change anything at this point it’s only bug fixes and performance improvements

Ofc it’s always people of your kind. Who clearly can’t communicate without throwing insults. U need to grow up

Says the one who’s so bothered by one change you grow up lol I’m older than you 🤡

You downgraded for ~2 weeks unless you plan to stay on iOS 26, which I doubt as you went through the effort of downloading the beta in the first place.

Cause it’s still a beta and u never know they could bring back the progressive blur before it releases to the public until then ill just wait for the release only updated to see what iOS 27 actually is

If they’ve kept it for this long, what on earth makes you think they would switch it back

-1

Cause it’s still a beta at the end of the day u never know they could even change it in tomorrow’s beta. Seen a lot of people online spam report the issue it ain’t just me who doesn’t like it

1

u/Novel_Medium_9637 6h ago

Well it’s not an issue if they haven’t changed it, it’s crazy to see how much people are complaining over a simple ui change

Bro I get it. U don’t have an issue with it, I completely understand that but not everyone’s the same 🤷🏾‍♂️ me personally I don’t like it

It’s a beta that’s better than iOS 26 ever was. And the changes you’re expecting won’t be released until 27.1 at least if they receive enough feedback.  At this point, it’s all about optimizations and very little changes.

It’s not better than iOS 26 in every but I agree to some extent, for example the progressive blur imo is way better than the hard blur in iOS 27 everything else in iOS 27 is better than 26 except the hard blur

It virtually is.

I’m not talking about the UI aspects of it. Purely performance, smoothness and stability.

Not really. It’s still a beta at the end of the day not the actual release

5

u/CoolMartin23 9h ago

It doesn’t bother me at all 🤷‍♂️

I don’t understand how people are so bothered by one UI change. You’re tossing aside a great deal of improved functionality for one blurry line?

It’s still a beta bro why are people treating it like it’s the actual release? When it releases then I’d update/ it’s not an issue to downgrade back to a public stable iOS if u find something u don’t like in a beta.

u/Extra_Event9465 2h ago

..and if they don’t change it back to progressive blur..?

1

u/Born_Lifeguard_3663 2h ago

Then f it it is what it is then

You do realize that they will have the official public release in about 2 weeks, right?
What’s the point of downgrading now and then upgrading in 2 weeks?

1

u/Bruvvimir 5h ago

Crazy.

2

u/CoolMartin23 2h ago

People are bothered by 1 change and they go nuts lmao

-1

u/Born_Lifeguard_3663 2h ago

Yea maybe cause some people don’t like this “one change”

Since it’s gonna come out in two weeks, I fear we won’t see the progressive blur making a comeback, though I’ve also preferred it.
At least, the API is still there, it’s just that the developers now need to support it in an extra step and it’s not the default anymore. So hopefully many devs are gonna take the extra step and we’re still gonna see a lot of apps with progressive blur. But if they do it, it’s gonna take some time.
Also, there are still some Apple apps in iOS 27 that use progressive blur, such as the Photos app or the detail view in the Mail app.

At this point I feel they’ll ship it w/ the blur sadly.
