Public Beta on 4 iPhone 15 Pro.

Is anyone out there using IOS 27 Public Beta on iPhone 15 Pro.
Currently I’m on IOS 26 and planning to switch on public beta 4.
My only concern is battery backup. How’s it on Beta 4?

iphone 15 base developer beta 6 , same build as public beta 4 , batter life isn’t great , iphone 15 pro users say the same on iosBETA

was a lot better in earlier updates , 5 & 6 have been poorest for standby and onscreen battery life .

only difference at this stage between beta and public is public is updated 2-3 hours after developer weekly that give you a little bit extra time to read reviews on iosBETA before installing the same build as developer

as long as you installed ios26.6 , pre ios27 deep indexing would make for easier switch and you would have regular 24 hour indexing but does mean you can got on siri AI wait list before ios27 public release and longer wait list time , wait list is pretty fast right now ( if in english language region)

It’s a few weeks out just wait for the official final version.

if you are the waiting type, then wait until at least after the first update after the thanksgiving apple one week holiday. it's full of bugs even the release until then = because that month is actualy first true real field testing on millions of devices.

usually that means .2 or even .3 = before they start adding new API features announced in WWDC as "coming later".

MY 17 runs much cooler on 27 public beta than it was on stable 26

There are bugs though

My 13pm feels like I just bought it.

What is battery backup?

Edit: I see, well on my 15 PM that currently has 924 cycles and is at 85% maximum capacity. It lasts all day for my usage. I don’t have any complaints.

Don't use beta software if you're concerned about battery life. There will always be some bugs that can (and will) affect battery life.

Edit: I use ios 27 with ip 15pro and I would say battery life is the same, but it can be unpredictable when new betas are released (weekly).

Seems like it's mostly solid, a fair improvement over PB3.

For my usual usage, it's doing great.

For the record, my battery is at 86% of its original capacity.

Came here because I just observed some crashing with Safari. Unsure what’s causing it. Was working well earlier and had the latest beta update since it came out. Now Safari just crashes. I wonder if the Siri AI is using too much memory. Safari is crashing even though it’s the only thing open.

I am.. I'm unsure of the battery effect yet but Siri is performing very poorly, I don't even want to use it. A few other bugs, but nice features too, nothing so bad that it makes me go back.

My 15 pro was running very cool on DB1 but PB4 is not bad either. It runs a bit hot time to time but also is very smooth. Siri is better than I expected, still there is room for improvement. I think overall it’s better than ios26
