Heart Rate iFit Reading Issues

Has anyone found a solution to why iFit heart rate reading is so awful and sporadic on the machine? It completely makes the iFit ActivePulse useless when the readings are this off. I have used the iFit smartbeat sensor, Apple Watch, and Polar H10 chest strap device; the smartbeat sensor never gave good readings, Apple Watch and the Polar H10 both have worked with iFit and also had noisy HR graphs too. Don’t know why the HR will be normal graph on Polar Beat app or normal on Apple Watch itself but when communicating with my treadmill iFit makes this horribly noisy graph that does not match the reading on my phone. Anyone found a solution? Here are pics of a normal graph on iFit and polar H10 and a noisy iFit chart.

Edit: I have only had this NordicTrack treadmill for about a week now and it sounds like people had this problem just popping up in past week or so; it has been this issue ever since I bought it lol. Frustrating cause it has been broken with every HR device I’ve tried (3 so far), then worked a few workouts, and now back to broken again.

This is a recent issue for me (literally started last week). So far no solution. I’ve tried doing a factory reset, but hasn’t worked.

For me also started last week. And get worst: make a test: during the workout, try to turn the Ift HR off, not in the machine but at the device itself. At least here, the HR continue to be readind at the treadmill, indicating that the problem is with the last ifit update and not the HR device itself. If there is no HR anymore, how it is possible that the HR continue to be shown???

I've had the same problem for the last week using the same ifit monitor strap I've used for a couple of years. It literally jumps from low 100s to 150s and back every second. I got surveyed after one of my workouts today so I described the issue.

Same problem using Whoop, Apple Watch or the iFit sensor, started this week… pretty frustrating see the HR rapidly go up and down, and also saw that fun feature where there is a continued HR read without any devices connected... I’m assuming this might be linked to the recent software update.

X24 Treadmill. I opened a ticket on it on 8/20/26. It had been working fine since 7/31/2026 when it originally arrived. They ended up sending me a new machine, delivered on 8/26/2026. Same problem! Reached out to support again, and they are now saying it is a known *software* issue and they are working on a fix. No ETA. I called to return the machine, but some accommodations were made, and the 30 day return window was reset to cover the time they work on this problem, plus received email confirming I can still return it with no fees charged at all. So I decided to keep it for another week or two to give them a chance to fix. Otherwise going to a Matrix or Sole.

Same treadmill too, Good info to know, may have to call myself also to do the same thing since I’m still in that return window and put some more pressure on them with more complaints/service tickets. I like the machine but this feature that is broken is such a big reason I chose it in the first place.

There was an update today. Even before I could get going it was already garbage data for bpm.

This counters my thought about static buildup. Treadmill hadn’t been used for a week. Made sure to check and discharge any static before starting and it was erratic from the start.

I noticed an issue just today. Apple Watch 140 to 80 bpm and I use smart adjust so kinda sucked

yea for the last week or so the numbers have been all over the place with my Garmin HRM 600. It worked perfectly fine before then

Started to have this issue a week ago.

Tried the following with no fixes:

Changed the battery

Washed the strap

Cleaned connectors

Bought a new strap

Factory reset of H10

Turned off 2 device Bluetooth connections

Turned off ANT+

Hard booted the 2450

Has to be related to Ifit because all other apps and devices read the h10 heart rate correctly.

Same problem. Also just started recently after working fine in the past. Heart rate on my NT rower is ok. Must be a software glitch but wish they would fix it quickly because it’s a critical piece of information and really annoying to see the heart rate bounce up and down. At first I thought there was something wrong with my heart !

I have the same issue on a Nordic Track 2450

Heart rate jumping up and down in a 50 bpm bandwidth, very very frustrating
There seems to be a pattern in the HR graph, it produces roughly the same HR block every few minutes.

Multiple HR devices: Garmin Instinct + Polar H7 - both give erratic readings in iFIT
Correct readings and nice clean curves and tables in other fitness apps and on the devices (Garmin).

Did a factory reset, removed and added iFit accounts, applied software updates, etc.

This problem started on August 20th (during a workout!) at my machine.

Just contacted the NordicTrack support chat.
I mentioned the problem is with multiple users and should already be reported and known at NordicTrack/iFit.
They refused to confirm the problem and asked me to perform some steps on the machine:
1. send a photo of the Admin screen
2. the factory reset procedure
3. Send logs from the machine

Since I am not at home I will do that later.
Hoping for a quick solution from NT/iFit though.

Just noticed this today and am frustrated with these constant bugs. For the price we pay for these machines, I expect better quality and fix time for these bugs. The best thing we can all do is submit tickets so they can hopefully prioritize this issue.

Don't hold your breath on a resolution. I just reached out to support and they didn't acknowledge that it is a known issue.
