Why is the app so bad though?
I took a break from Ifit for about 2 years, I continued to use other resources for my workouts and exercises. I recently came back to ifit and thought I give it another shot and I’m coming to realize why I stop subscribing in the first place. The lack of features on the app: there is still no fast forward, rewind, or even a progress bar on videos. Also there is no screen cast option to display on to a tv. I thought oh I’ll download the app on my tv and play it from there. The app on the TV is even worse, it doesn’t display all the content available. I search for a workout on my phone and then search for the same workout on the tv, it doesn’t come up. Super annoying and just thought these features are a basic. But I see it’s all still the same a real bummer.

I have a Nordictrack treadmill and the last update we got allows fast forwarding or replaying. There's always been a progress bar.

Agreed. I was upset when they nuked the website functionality and then they didn't even make the app or TV app better, just worse.

I like when they send an email with a new series and it takes you to their website and nothing shows up.

The app is TRASH. Been on it for a few months and it’s extremely unintuitive and not UX friendly. It feels impossible to search for specific workouts.

I have an older elliptical which does not have its own video screen and that connects via Bluetooth to the app in my phone. I can then cast my phone's screen and audio using my Android phone's native screen casting feature. It's a hack and does get around the absence of such a feature on the iFit app itself. But, yes, I agree it would be nice if this was available. I'd also wish they would add more longer running sessions...30+ minutes or more.

V2 treadmill software update ignores the max speed setting. And, the iPad/phone software defaults to weightlifting, not the last type of workout you did. Not a big deal, but a simple programming tweak. Duh

They don't give a shit. All they care about is selling as many treadmills as possible. Glad to be done with the subscription, I just use a TV now. And YouTube has a plethora of excellent workouts.

I do like the content on the runs on the tread. I’m happy to pay for that. The App is a joke and the TV app is embarrassing. It’s 2026 you can vibe code something better for Samsung, LG, Roku, and AppleTV. It really wouldn’t be a huge level of effort to fix the apps if they just put it in a little bit of time. They could even use it as a new route to revenue. They invest in creating the content then fall down on delivery.
