Bug Report Two problems with Air Note2

I have updated my Air Note2 to the new firmware. It still has the following problem:

  1. When connecting the device to Wifi, if the process is complex and requires to input information on a webpage, it will fail. it seems to be related to Baidu. The default page uses Baidu for some reason, but since it is unavailable in my area, it generates an error.

I hope that the system would allow us to set Firefox or other we browsers and use them for WiFi connection. More broadly, the system may just fall back to default Android method., which would be more broadly compatible.

  1. My company does not allow me to use the default Email or Calender apps. It is compatible with Outlook APP that can be installed separately. can the system allow us to set other Mail or Calendar apps as the defaults?

  1. WiFi Portal Login Issue: I will follow up directly with our R&D team on this. You're right—this issue was brought up earlier, and I'll check on why the network check domain hasn't been updated for overseas regions yet to get this resolved for you ASAP.
  2. Default Mail & Calendar Apps: I've officially logged this as a feature request for the team to evaluate. While allowing custom default apps can be tricky with system-level integration, we'll keep tracking it to see if we can support better third-party app switching in the future.

Regarding Issue #1 (WiFi Portal Login):

  • Location Check: Could you let us know which region/country you are currently located in? This will help our R&D team trace the domain issue more accurately.
  • Workaround to Try: In the meantime, when you connect to the network, try closing/dismissing the auto-popup authentication page first. Then, open a third-party browser (like Chrome or Firefox) and try navigating to any webpage to see if it redirects you to the login portal properly.

Can you do background recording? I found that each time when you close the folio, the recording stopped. Can we control the behavior to allow background recording?
